Curseddonut Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Sooooo I seem to have the 1.9 beta version of Skyrim without even giving permission to download. I found out about this when I tried to start skyrim and suddenly SKSE gives a error, ran skyrim without skse and found out im patched to 1.9.(something) b (the b stands for beta?). So is 1.9 out or is this some bug? (Its not a problem since I can use SKSE but just curious)
kurisu7885 Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I have no beta so it looks like you were right.
Rayblue Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Every update to the game requires updating SKSE to match it. Oh, boy, what a morning -- have to update anything, and pray that it doesn't break my third playthrough.
polluxval Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 it is not beta anymore. steam update it automatically.
Guest Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Does anyone else find it slightly humorous that Skyrim has needed so much patching that it's reached version 1.9? I wonder if they'll do anything special for Skyrim 2.0!

I wonder if they'll do anything special for Skyrim 2.0! yes, they'll make a new dlc in wich you'll become high king. the patch 2.0 will be the introduction and it'll be necessary to rule skyrim (something similar to fable 3) i'm just kidding. but that would be awesome.
Rayblue Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Gonna be back later to post my findings, as I've now updated everything including SKSE, the uncapper (as long as you don't switch on the so-called "Legendary" mode in this update), unofficial updates, and oh yes, FNIS.
bjornk Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 After more than a year, they released an update that fixes vanilla bugs that should have been fixed a long time ago. If you ask me, they are wrapping it up, probably going for a GoTY edition. 2.0 will probably be that.
Alexandra The Nord Queen Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 How do I do the update 1.9? I never use the Steam, i have no idea how it works.
Cozy Posted March 30, 2013 Posted March 30, 2013 How do I do the update 1.9? I never use the Steam, i have no idea how it works. Umm since Steam has kind of a symbiotic thing going with the retail version of Skyrim, I'm curious as to whether or not you're using a pirated copy. In which case, can't and according to the forum rules won't help you there. But if you did buy the game, all you need to do is let Steam auto update, it just does it whether or not you want it too, which I find aggravating.
