dardar Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 Does anyone know whether it is possible to create new skeletons and add them to skyrim? if so what software would be required?
gregathit Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 Something like Blender and nifscope as well as the CS. But based on you not even knowing that, I'd recommend against you attempting to make a "new" skeleton. That is likely going to be way beyond your current skill level. You are most likely looking at 100+ hours or so to master the software and tutorials and doing the work from scratch. Instead, you might google up and watch some youtube videos on how to modify an existing skeleton. Much faster and simpler. Of course a skeleton only won't do you much good without a mesh to tie to it........which is a whole other process to learn. Ain't modding fun! ?
dardar Posted September 18, 2020 Author Posted September 18, 2020 Honestly i doubt i'd be much good at either making a new skeleton or modifying an old one (I don't have a clue how to use either blender or nifscope and have never touched 3d modelling :s), i wondered because I've never really seen any mods that dont use an exisiting skeleton, they always seem to rely on exisiting ones such as the werewolf skeleton. thought it was maybe just a limitation of the game
