I keep quiet Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 I'm playing Oldrim and feet of all male chars are garbled with SOS light. Far as I understand SOS light uses seperate feet textures I checked in MO and nothing conflicts with them. I think this got something to do with Sands of Time mod sometimes when I disable mod feet are normal again, but it then gets garbled again even with mod disabled. This is very strange and I love the SoT mod because of the element of surprise vanilla game is just boring to me. Are there any mods I can use to fix male feet with SOS light for good? I don't want to use SOS full version because there are char armor slot issues I don't want to deal with.
Guest Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 Step 1: Don't use SOS Light unless you're using a pre-first gen Intel CPU. Read as: If your PC is anywhere near modern, you don't need SOS Light. Regular SOS produces nearly no script load worth half a shit.
Grey Cloud Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 Why not just post an image so we can all understand what you mean by 'garbled'?

Not a prisoner Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 I had a similar problem using SOS full. Not garbled textures but a bad mismatch between skin tones so all the guys looked like they were naked but wearing socks : ) Anyway, I fixed it just by installing Vitruvia's Skin Texture Overhaul for SOS.https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/9112?tab=files
RW311 Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 I don't know about garbled texture feet but... Some shoes have wrong uv for sos I don't know about sos light but probably the same problem. I had a mod long time ago that fixed them all but I can't find it and I don't know all the shoes that have the problem, most are not noticed because they are covered by other armors but some like fur shoes would be very obvious.

How does your lame response help anything other than incite poor behavior from me? There's a reason I'm not very active here, and it's because of people like you.

Was it this one? I've used that for a long time, whether I've had Light or Full installed. For the record, I currently use Light - not because of needing to reduce script load or anything like that. I prefer to keep it simple and have all the guys the same size in that area. The last time I used Full you could only set a maximum size, not a minimum, and it had the nasty habit of sometimes resetting a follower's size to the smallest when going through loading screens. With Light and an edit to the correct bone in the XPMSE skeleton nif, all the chaps have a decent size that lines up well in animations, I save on a couple of slots in my load order, and I don't have to worry about the occasional surprise cocktail sausage. With Vitruvia skin and the fur shoes fix I linked above, I've never noticed a problem with the feet.
Grey Cloud Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 I've only ever had that problem with fur shoes (I use SOS Full). I used to use one of the Milkdrinker textures but now use Vitruvia so I've never needed the mod (this is the first I've heard of it anyway ). 3 hours ago, merManc said: The last time I used Full you could only set a maximum size, not a minimum, and it had the nasty habit of sometimes resetting a follower's size to the smallest when going through loading screens. Not sure what you mean there. With Full you can assign a different schlong type to different races and set different size range for each type/race.

I only ever needed or wanted one type for all, and - to be fair - I didn't look too closely at individual race and schlong options because of that. Maybe I missed some functionality there, but on the general page of the MCM you could only set a maximum size, not a minimum. (I actually remember this feature being talked about as something the SE version added in, but was never part of SOS LE.) There's still the problem of followers sometimes being reset to minimum size after a loading screen as well, which I could never eradicate completely. Full does have useful extra features for those that want them, but I'm happy with everyone using the same type, and having the same size.. Personally, with just a simple adjustment to XPMSE to increase the schlong size, I only need what Light offers, and it only takes up one slot in my load order instead of three (or more) so I'm perfectly happy with that.

I probably have those fur shoes also but fine clothes 02 and barkeeper shoes also have the problem, maybe some others, but you never see those npc ankles because they wear outfit that covers the legs. I don't know how I found their calf texture issue but I remember searching out a mod to fix it, was a while back I'm sure. This is probably not at all what OP's problem is though because feet textures getting garbled during gameplay is not because of wrong uv maps. There is a patch in the sos forum somewhere that deals with the follower schlong shrinkage, I had trouble with that also way back when.

Max and Min are for the schlongs given to random NPCs like guards and that setting is on the racial adjustments page.
