LiliCakez Posted August 28, 2020 Posted August 28, 2020 Hi all, I seem to have a bug that causes my camera to zoom in past my characters face after leaving smithy, Alch etc, and I only get it when using idle animations. I am using FNIS PCEA2 for my idle anims. Has anyone seen anything like this before? I have no idea what might be causing it. Any help is appreciated ? LoadOrder.txt
Guest Posted August 29, 2020 Posted August 29, 2020 Are you using Enhanced Camera and/or Immersive First Person View? Does this happens only when you interact with the station in first person?

I also tried removing Enhanced Camera, but that didn't fix it
Guest Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Have you tried your female idle as a global behavior instead of PCEA? My guess would be either the idle or PCEA sending an erroneous animevent at the start of the idle. Does it happens when the same idle is triggered by something else, like going AFK?

Whats strange is I only have this issue when leaving crafting stations, and there is one idle animation on my list that doesn't have this issue. So it could be a problem with PCEA2, but I hope not. I really like having my character be unique. I will try the animation as global and see what happens. Thank you for the replies, I really appreciate the help
LiliCakez Posted August 30, 2020 Author Posted August 30, 2020 Okay I just tried using one of the Idles as a replacer, and the issue is still there ?
Guest Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Could you attach the female idle hkx file that causes it?
LiliCakez Posted August 31, 2020 Author Posted August 31, 2020 Here is one of the idles that causes it, but its basically all idles except for one. I also noticed I have no entries for Camera in my ini files. Does that make any difference? mt_idle.hkx
LiliCakez Posted August 31, 2020 Author Posted August 31, 2020 Here is the one that doesn't have the issue, just in case mt_idle.HKX
Guest Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Definitely the behavior file. I've placed it in my overwrite folder, changed my character from male to female and tried it out. EDIT: Actually where is this idle from? Tested on my male (which has idles from the Realistic Animation Project) and the same thing happens. EDIT2: Happens to Pretty Female idles aswell. If you hadn't mentioned that one of your idles doesn't show this problem I would've pointed at an engine bug as the culprit. With ~500 hours of playtime, I hadn't noticed this before, probably because 99% of my interactions are in first person. This is such a minor issue though, can't you live with it? Grey Cloud Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 I use PCEA2 and spend most of my time in 3rd person. It is generally the case that when using a crafting station or an ore vein the camera the camera does some uncalled for swinging about. If, say, you approach an ore vein looking north, when you have finished the camera swings about and you end up looking west or whatever. I don't use any camera mods.

And that's a pregnancy idle that Gunslicer made for me. The other idles I use are from the Sexy Idle and Pretty Idle packs. So far the only Idle that doesn't have the issue is Sexy Idle 2. I just really wish I could figure out why ?
Guest Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 I really doubt you will find someone willing to reverse-engineer parts of the camera code just to fix something so minor that most of us don't even notice it (or break anything for that matter). One solution you could go for if you really can't stand the eye balls (I myself think there are far more disturbing things on these forums alone), you can install IFPV and set a config to force third person or first person when you are no longer using a station and nothing else. Here: !set iDebug 0 !set bEnabled true !set bActivated false !set bZoomIntoIFPV false !set bToggleIntoIFPV false !set fUpdateProfileInterval 0.2 !set fTweenLength 0.2 !set bHideHead false !set bHideHelmet false !set bHeadtrack false !set iFaceCrosshair 0 !set bArrowCamera false !set iIgnoreWorldCollision 0 {Crafting} (bCrafting==true) -ForceThirdPerson If it's not fast enough, reduce the interval at fUpdateProfileInterval (minimum is 0.01).

Is IFPV pretty much the same as enhanced camera? And thank you so much for your help!! ?
Guest Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 IFPV: Displaces the third person camera so it looks like you are playing it through first person. You can also pull other tricks with it, like the above config, which will not mess with your camera at all, other than forcing a switch to third person when the crafting menu is no longer open. EC: Renders the third person body and (optionally) the third person arms while in first person. It can also enforce the game to respect first person when interacting with stuff, instead of always forcing the camera to third person, like the vanilla game does. Unlike some people will tell you, EC and IFPV can co-exist with each other because they do different things, I've both installed and use them for different purposes. EC: I use it for my gameplay as I can't stand IFPV for gameplay. I also can't stand third person arms in first person and I don't enable that either, using the much better first person attack animations. IFPV: I use it to provide SexLab with a functional POV camera. I did have to write a mod to make the whole transition from EC to IFPV automatic though (the ways available through IFPV for detecting whether the player is in a SexLab animation or not either don't work or are glitchy as hell).
