Molevalence Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 This is more of a question than a problem topic. I understand what to do with meshes and textures where it comes to location and replacing old with new. (I want to change the body type of a companion) Ive been trying to find some preset bodies files with meshes and textures but most I have found were used in bodyslide. I am not sure if you can create your own meshes/textures and save them with bodyslide but if you can it is outside my current expertise. If you can however can anyone point me in the right direction? If now, could anyone point me in the direction for premade bodies with meshes and textures and I can do it manually? Thank you again.
VersuchDrei Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Not sure I got your question 100% right but I think this is the answer: You can open a project in Outfit Studio with "File -> Load Project.." and then use "File -> Safe Project As..." to change the Output File name and Output Data Path of that project. This way you can make the BodySlide project replace the mesh you want to.

In simple terms, I just want to replace the body of a companion which to my knowledge is to replace the meshes/textures. Just been having a hard time locating some to my tastes. I will try your suggestion.
GimmeBACON Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/26108 The mod above apparently has built-in bodyslide support, so you should be able to do it easily. Otherwise, use a similar mod, make a backup of your meshes, create the body for the follower, copy and paste into the appropriate folders, and when you're done put your character meshes back.
Molevalence Posted August 28, 2020 Author Posted August 28, 2020 Thank you for the reply. I was able to change the companions body which is great but I want to give her morphs to show pregnancy with FPE. The good news is I know how to do this thanks to a post I found. The issue I am having is the meshes for Actors/Character/CharacterAssests does not exist in my Fallout4 Data folder. My character shows pregnancy just fine and I use MO2 for the most part with no issues in game save for a crash here and there when I try to apply perk points. Would anyone happen to know where the path could be to find those 2 files? Heather gets pregnant easy... you need to copy your morphed body and tri file from the actor folder to the llama folder where heathers body is located... easy peasy. Ive see her bubble up MANY times When you build morphs and export out, they go here: Fallout 4\Data\Meshes\Actors\Character\CharacterAssets. You just copy FemaleBody.nif and FemaleBody.tri to Heathers folder: Fallout 4\Data\Meshes\llama\llamaCompanionMeshes\Body

The files should be there, could it be that you're using MO2 and its virtual folders? If it's the case, when you generate morphs the first time they usually end up on "\Overwrite", because it's a new file, then you manually move them where you want or create a brand new mod on the left column of MO2. If you missed some step before and you don't know where these files ended up, maybe the easiest thing is going under mo2\mods folder and look for femalebody.tri, to see in which folder it came out. Check also date and time to see if it corresponds to the moment when you create them, so you're sure it's the right file.
Molevalence Posted August 29, 2020 Author Posted August 29, 2020 Thank you for the reply. I did create a new folder for the overwrites when I made the body. I copied the folder to my desktop and checked inside to see if the files I wanted to move were there, they were not. Also when I go into my MO2 folder there is no Mods folder. At all. Which is strange because I am using MO2 to mod my game? I did use LOOT once or twice to organize my load order I wonder if that has something to do with it? I will keep looking. Update: I think I found the problem. I discovered that MO2 when installing mods default location is in the Local folder inside appdata unless changed which I forgot to do. I dug inside and found all my installed mods. Now I know where it is I should be able to find the files I need to get it working.
