Creating a mod

Hi -

Been searching on how to make my own follower. Most posts / articles I find say you need the Skyrim Game Creation kit. I cannot find it for download anywhere.

 

Any links or help on where to start would be awesome.

Steam>Library>Just up over the search box there's a drop down menu>select tools>creation kit should be there somewhere.

I'm making mods but i don't know how to make Follower ^_^

And Video i always shared with ppl that were asking me same question is gone from YouTube for some reason... idk... maybe author delete it or hide...

if You need help with other things like for example dialogues, scripts, spells for your follower you can use DarkFox127 Videos:

He have tutorials about many many many things...

but some of his tutorials are... "Not Perfect" but still you can make a lot more with them

 

I'm 100% sure he have Tutorial about Dialogues, so you can make your follower to be able to talk etc.

and i'm 100% sure he have tutorial abotu Scripts, so u can make for example Trigger Boxes for Your follower or special stuff that only your follower cna do ^_^

 

If You have "legal" copy of Skyrim ( on Steam ) You should also have Creation Kit in Your Steam Lib

Search for it, if You can't see it make sure that you have ENABLED TOOLS

 

Creation Kit is Tool not Game :x... and by default Tools may be disabled in Steam...

Creation Kit is no longer automatically installed by Steam. You have to find it in the store, not the library and then install it.

When searching the steam store, I do not find anything that appears to be what I am looking for.

Would someone please post a screen shot or link to what I am supposed to get from the Steam store?

You can't find it in the store - my fault.

This is how you (should) find it:

In Steam Library -> Tools -> Search: Skyrim Creation Kit

You could try installing using the link from the banner at the bottom of the page on creationkit.com I have no idea if that is the correct one.

I bought the VR version so mine did not have it.

If that is true then I will purchase this. But unsure if it comes with the game. I been going bonkers thinking it was something I was doing. ??

You need to go to the page www.creationkit.com and look for the banner that i show the image of,  it's at the bottom of the page the one i posted is just static png image.

The link on the banner that I highlighted is a steam link to download and install creation kit but again i don't know if its correct ck since i don't use Skyrim VR or creation kit. The additional information i posted says there are more steps needed to make creation kit work with VR version of Skyrim but it is doable

 

Yes it came with my game thru steam but as I said I don't have VR version of game I have LE and SSE
