Strip Club Question

I tried making my first strip club yesterday, and have run into a slight problem I can't seem to fix. The Janitors, and even my sim, when I try and clean will just gather the dishes and drop them on a 1/2 wall. I've tried adding a dishwasher, sinks, and a waitress station, and the problem persists. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

Thrash can is more important than sinks. Are u sure, u dont forget bout it?

yeah I have 2 trash cans, the ones that never need emptying, and a dumpster

wild guess, because i used to have something similar, but it can be probably some conflicts with other mods that make your janitor cancel actions to do something else.
If you have any LittleMsSam mod that interacts with buttlers or maids then test your game without them. Maybe something like that can be the problem.

I haven't heard of this issue, but I saw it happen in restaurants, where employees would place dirty dishes on half walls instead of cleaning them at the station. This seems like a base game issue that can happen anywhere. Something might be configured to prioritize half walls placeable slots over the proper functions... could be fixed by a mod if so.

I use LittleMsSam's Better Butler mod and I have no issues. But there could be a mod conflict. There's not much detail to go on.

It could be a pathing issue. Do your Sims have clear access to these items? Are they giving you any indications that they can't reach them (like throwing their hands up in the air)? Stupid question, but I have to ask - is it in a separate room and did you remember to put a door? Is it only dishes you're having issues with or are they dropping the trash as well.

 

Is it possible for you to post a screenshot of your club layout? You can use the paperclip icon to do it.

 

The first thing you could try is changing the location of your trash bins and dishwashers and see what happens. If you have to, temporarily put them right in the middle of the club with very clear access and see what happens. If they have no problems, then you'll have your answer. If the problem persists at that point, then there's definitely something else going on.

Lots of times I'm seen waiters pick up plates from a table and immediately put them on the floor. The another waiter will come and pick them up. I think a lot of times the game gets confused when more than one Sim is trying to access the same dishes.

In my club I think the sanitation engineers just get overwhelmed. A fairly large club at 40x30. Using both m/f dancers and bartenders so have m/f customers. 3 f escorts 1 m escort. $10 k a week after the first week. Ive noticed the cleaning crew pick up one glass at a time and then go get one more etc etc. So slow slow slow. As for trash dropping I think they just move on to next task before finishing. I added several incinerator cans thru out and it helped some. Theres just so much being produced they cant keep up. I added a neat trait to my bartenders and spmetimes they hang around after closing and clean up glasses etc. Occassionally I can get one to "hang out" with me and all they do is clean lol. When all else fails I just click/drag items to the trash or dishwasher.

 I did away with half walls. Use fences and deco screens instead. Not ideal solutions but it helps. A less trash lot trait would be nice

Thank you all for the great advice, I will give them all a try in a bit. Also gonna see if the problem may be that the main room is under the foundation, therefore they can't "find" the trashcans or something.

 

 

Edit: A couple things I think helped as the club seems to be working better now. First thanks to everyone for the great advice. Added a couple more trashcans, and moved them a little away from the "foundation" as it was a sunken floor seemed to help the most. I also added a small sink station. Basically 2 counters with sinks on them, also a little away from the foundation, and there is ALOT less trash now, and the janitors seem to be doing their jobs.
