Cozy Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 It's been out for a while so I am curious as to how well the bug fixes have come along, since I want to download it. However I want it to not screw up my game when I do. So how's it working now?
cornbreadtm Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 It hasn't broken my game but the main Dragonborn quest is broken for me. I have too little care for it find a fix since the new update is coming out soon and new unofficial patches are in beta and will be out soon. I get to wait and see what the new 1.9 update breaks and worry about that first. Everything else works for the most part. Have had only 3 Solsthiem quests break for me which was a weird feeling, since I hadn't had a quest break since my vanilla run through at launch. So it doesn't really effect anything but Solstheim, so its fine to get, just don't expect everything to work once you cross the sea of ghosts.

Meh being the perfectionist I am, I'll just wait for 1.9 to sort out the problem before installing Dragonborn. Besides I haven't really done anything with Hearthfire or Dawnguard yet. Still kind of establishing Ashael into Skyrim. I can wait. Thanks for the 411.
gregathit Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Well, I heard about all of the bugs that folks had, but strangely enough I did not have a single one in my play through. Not one crash and not one glitch. To be fair I do have a minimal load order as I gut any plugin I download that is just armor\clothes\weapons and hand load them into a custom esp I have (this keeps dirty edits from occurring). The main plugins I use are: Sky UI, Dance of Death, Deadly Dragons, WarZones, Crimson Tide. I am guessing my small amount of plugins and hand made esp for all the armors\clothes weapons (like Omegared99's stuff, witcher clothes\armors, and tons of other cool stuff) greatly contributed to a stable game. It was a shit load of work but the pay-off seemed to be worth it. Dawnguard was similarly without any bugs or glitches for me.
Cozy Posted March 12, 2013 Author Posted March 12, 2013 Unfortunately I have a rather sizable load order... 176 mods and counting, so chances are I may run into problems. It's probably best for me to wait it out a bit more until everything has been ironed out, which is usually the case with DLC for me. Patience comes in handy in these situations.

Recently, I've gotten the DLC and have quite a few Mods of my own. Perhaps a little less or about the same amount as you do. And I surprisingly only had a few bugs. What you're going to want to do, though is update a few things. If you have FNIS, make sure that is updated. An out of Date FNIS makes specific events in Dragonborn not happen. The Official DragonBorn Patch will also be needed, too. And as far as I know, anything that makes it's own monsters or NPCs such as the More Dragon's Race (Not sure the name) will need to be updated, if I'm correct. I'd start with those.
