[SOLVED] Bouncy Breasts Are Too Bouncy

SOLUTION: Forgot to install CBPC

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a pretty standard mod setup - Bodyslide, CBBE, RaceMenu, HDT-SMP etc

The problem is the buoyancy seems too strong, within the correct parameters, like there are no breasts that pierce through the horizon, but otherwise it's definitely broken.

I am somewhat new to Bodyslide, perhaps I just haven't setup it correctly? Any feedback is appreciated! I added a Papyrus file, I think it's on a big side since I started a new game last time i launched skyrim.20200808215701_1.jpg.4d48a3db6e98eba38cba886689f3bc05.jpg

It's been a while since I installed a body, but I vaguely remember there being something like a "firmness" selection during installation of CBBE-3BBB (and BHUNP),  which presumably addresses SMP jiggle response, as well as an optional CPBC config packet.  Breast size I believe also affects amplitude (so, for instance, having A or B breasts with D response might do weird things - or visa versa <<< idk, speculating)

And if you're running Sinful CBP (or similar?), you can tailor CBPC response too. (from floppy to firm)

I tried playing with the sliders in Racemenu but it didn't really change a lot, maybe I was playing with wrong sliders? So the jiggle thing comes from SMP?

I also noted that I have both HDT SMP and CBBE SMP installed, most likely because of different mods requirements - could they conflict with each other? Now to figure out which mods would break if I remove them...

Okay, I found the problem - I forgot to install CBPC...

I still not fully sure how does Bodyslider work, maybe there is a guide to this? I tried changing showracemenu sliders - CBBE Morph related, but it didn't really work. Maybe something is broken?

TMI warning:

Bodyslide (for the most part) is used for

  • defining the basic physical shape of a character's body, legs, and arms
  • fitting predefined clothing/armor/trinkets to the aforementioned body
  • when using Outfit Studio, (the other half of the program), for adjusting armor at a "low level" and/or swapping reference bodies (ie, changing an armor, ex: CBBE to CBBE-3BBB or from UNP to CBBE, etc)

In terms of the player body, the bodyslide sliders are adjusting the wire screen mesh that forms the "skin" (maybe "chassis" is a better term) of the character., using a combination of the body type chosen from "Body/Outfit" (ex: CBBE, CBBE Special, 3BBB Amazing, BHUNP,  etc) and a "Preset" that defines the basics bounds of adjustment for that model and the specific adjustments applied by the sliders. The body "skin" that we see from the outside is the texture files draped stretched over that mesh. The skeleton is inside the whole mess, and it has virtual weights applied to various points that are also attached to the mesh (think a bit like tendons) on the mesh  that are **inertially affected by changes in the local acceleration and collisions.

** SMP and CBPC response

Racemenu sliders are pretty much defining a secondary body (and facial) mesh(es) that works using the Bodyslide body mesh as a foundation, effectively providing new adjustment points on the bodyslide mesh created in Bodyslide studio (as well as providing adjustments for other portions of the mesh that bodyslide doesn't cover (the face).  << I didn't write that very gracefully. hopefully you can make sense of it anyway.

CBPC and SMP can both be affected by gravity and collision, although SMP produces more refined and "realistic" movement scheme, but... is a bit prone to instability issues. SMP also provides one or two additional "jiggle zones" above those provided by CPBC if I'm not mistaken.

CBPC is the default collision/acceleration-response mode for the CBBE-3BBB and BHUNP models, as well as for CBBE special (can't comment on any other physics enabled body models), and afaik it *is marked as a requirement by CBBE-3BBB and BHUNP

I have HDT-SMP installed, but I use CBBE-3BBB (player) and BHUNP (converted UNP-ish followers) instead of CBBE-SMP, so I can't comment on whether there could eb a clash between HDT-SMP and that.  However, unless there's some overarching reason for using CBBE-SMP, I *believe the general advise is to move to either CBBE-3BBB ... or BHUNP

Thanks for the explanation! I think Idid mostly figure out how bodyslide works and even managed to fix another bug in the process.
