WCSC Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 anything I can look into as to why all of a sudden my game is freezing? Sometimes I would CTD. This is very different. The game freezes but audio continues. Seems tro happen a lot when I enter or leave buildings I notice. Says "Autosaving" in the upper left window at times Thanks
Grey Cloud Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 What did you change? Autosaves happen on cell change by default. The reason you are seeing the message is probably because it is on screen for so long due to the freezing (extreme lag). Does a quicksave take any longer than normal?

I turned off Auto save when traveling thinking that would help. But it seems to happen when say an animation is about to start or when casting a spell it will lag, then freeze. Is it a computer issue? I just change over to a new Mother Board Maximus XII Hero, new 10th gen i7, RTX 2070 and 16 gb ram. I didn't freeze like this on my older setup, and shouldn't be lagging. I'm playing on 3620 x 2036 res antial 8 samples Anosittropic filtering 16 samples lot of advanced setting are Ultra and High thanks

Check your mobo and graphics drivers. Check your graphic card settings. I have antialiasing set to use application settings and anisotropic disabled You could use this Bethini (This will set your Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini files)https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69787
