Male emotional struggle

This is a new stuff for Emily.

It seems that every men (male) have a deep painful emotional struggles more than women, it's not like every women or feminist would know that male can be in so much pain worst to harbor within themselves in certain occasion that ruins their entire life when their emotional struggle occurs. Which either caused more due to their profession, mistakes, blunder, Problems, and to self comparisons between males (sometime female). They don't show it publicly to their wife, children and friends. Though more seldom or often mess it up with strangers and nobodies when it comes to burst and made themselves even worst.

Now .. well it seems "desperado" (by.eagle) makes sense now to Emily.

So she is glad to know that men are not what she always think they would be, and that Answer a lot questions in her mind.

Winner will eventually lost.

Loser will eventually win.

Its not that women have less problems with emotional struggles, but they know how to relieve their stress better, men instead hold it in and then explode.

I think the problem lies in the way men are being educated from childhood, how many times i heared "hey you are a boy, boy's dont cry, boy's dont show weakness" and then most men have a problem to vent...they either break because of the unbearable stress from it or go nuts and hurt someone or themselfs.

The society expect us to be perfect, not showing weakness, the women want us to be sensible, how can someone stay normal like this...im so glad i never cared about relationships and society, i would have probably shot someone.

We still lack consistent male role model: On one hand men should be sensitive, considerate and compassionate, and on the other hand strong, independent and competitive.

God, I fucking hate the new forum; entire paragraphs just get missing with no way to recover them...

More than women? Nah.

Just like women? Sure.

I think it's more of, everyone in this 'verse is their own person, with their own problems, struggles, issues, and everything else. And defining someone by their gender does no good for any of that.

Both genders are constantly told what their gender should act like. And no one, no one, fits that perfectly. Some less than others.

Actually.. Duke Nukem does >.>

In all seriousness, I hold in what I hold in and put on a smile because I'm tired of people asking if I'm alright, because what I have inside scares the shit out of me, and because if it got out and I hurt somebody I loved, I wouldn't be able to live with it.  The ones closest to me know when I'm about to pop, and they know either when to avoid me, or how to keep it from happening.  Last time I popped, I chokeslammed somebody twice my size (I'm 5'3), and beat the shit out of him.  It took three people to get me off of him.  Needless to say, I have a few demons.

This is always a part of a big large discussion. Because men will always say that they don't have emotional problems or that they have less than women. The problem begins there.

When you have a problem you must always acknowledge the existanse of it, denial it's the first sympthom of an emotianl issue. So, make you own conclusions.

It's my opinion that emotions and how we handle them are based on experiences not what's between our legs.  A person having to deal with things on their own or being independent can differ from someone who has always had or needs someone.  I'd even say it boils down to the foundations of parenting as to how each of us handles things.

You totally hit a homerun. This is the crux of the double standard that males in this culture have to deal with. They are told it's okay to be sensitive, but the second they show any sensitivity they are socially crucified for not living up to some ridiculous hyper-macho archetype. I remember when I was little like 6-8 years old in grade school (I lived as a boy then.) I would cry a lot, because I was bullied a lot and never really understood it. I remember even female teachers telling me back then to stop acting like a "sissy" or a "queer" then the very same day they'd talk about how it's good to share your feelings and all that double standard crap.

Same here Cozy, my grade school was a hell, i was bullied nonstop everyday...one day it was really bad and i couldnt bear it anymore so i exploded in tears, then comes the teacher and you know what she did...she hit me even more.

I think most of the mens agression comes exactly from this way of "education"..."you are a man, they are supposed to take hits" and such bs..even now i have problems to relieve myself of stress, i can do it but i have to be alone.

SAME! My teacher used to throw me into desks and slap me, she'd also goad the boys into bullying more, because evidently I deserved it for not acting like a "proper" boy. The thing was, I wasn't "a proper boy" by any stretch obviously but that doesn't matter. When I was growing up I was always getting pushed around, but since males aren't allowed to be victims in this culture, it was my fault every time I was abused in some form or another going all the way up to the age of 16 when I went on home tutoring, because I was too afraid to go back to school after an incident where... never mind another long story. Actually grade school is also another long story... I say "long story" a lot for a reason.

But that's the thing, as a culture we act like we're enlightened to the point we want males to share their feelings, but when they do they're whiners, emo's, and faggots, and ironically the first person to bash a male sharing their feelings is usually another male trying to boost his own ego, by emasculating another. Not that, there aren't some rotten women out there, but perhaps you're following where I am going?

Sure I never really was male, which made matters a lot worse for me since I had to live as one for the first 18 years of my life, and I will say living as one in my early years did give me a kind of behind the scenes look and insight that a lot of my female friends don't seem to get about certain guys, and their hyper-macho social pecking order.

Now I'm not going to say women have it better, because in the grand scheme they don't. That's just common sense. However women do at the very least have a buffer to fall back on with the advent of women's rights. They have someone who will listen to them. With males... there are no groups, nothing to fall back on, and because of the insecurities that are bludgeoned into boys minds about some super hyper masculine archetype they must be since childhood, even if there is support many males are too afraid to seek it out for fear of being emasculated.

It's really a screwed up predicament. Essentially men aren't allowed to be victims in this culture, and they aren't allowed to feel either.

Totaly agree, altough i dont want to get too much deep into your problems, but i have a friend who had this problem also...basicaly its the oposite of you, he is a male traped in a girls body and he had a hell of a time before he got accepted and changed.

I can only immagine how hard that must have been, but im sure in your case it was alot worser because of the men's "education"..

I never thought women have it esier then men, but there is one thing where women have it better and thats social acceptance...they are always esier accepted and listened to...basicaly in this era we could say, being a man is a sad lonely experience, because there is noone to back you, well maybe except your parrents and even that isnt the case as there is always lots of prejudices.

And you know what's really fucking annoying? If you actually do start looking up some sort of defense for men, most of the shit you find is a bunch of sites/groups/people/videos/etc. that just talk about how it's ONLY men who are the ones who suffer, and that women don't, etc, etc, you've all heard this crap. >.< I think to myself "Dammit, I'm tired of every single commercial ever, ALWAYS portraying the male as the problem, the male as the idiot, the one who fucks everything up, and then the woman is the smart one, the intelligent one, who has to fix everything the male has fucked up, every time." And I look to see if anyone else feels the same, and all I find are a bunch of idiots whining about how badly men have it compared to women, how it's some sort of vagina led conspiracy to take down the penis, and all sorts of bullshit. Rather than just some people that, you know, are equalists, and want to acknowledge that there is crap given to all genders.

[spoiler=((For example/off topic about the commercials))]

Imagine that commercial being aired, but reversed. Man orders a baby and smiles, whispering to the camera "We wouldn't even need women." Can you imagine the backlash? But because it's LOL MEN it's perfectly fine. But then, all you get speaking out about this crap, are people like the "final justice" movement. >.<

Just ugh.

And seriously. Just look at any commercial. New ones come in all the time on youtube.

"For the first time, ever, she let HIM plan the vacation!" Oh no! Not a MAN! We need a WOMAN to come in and fix everything!

... I'll stop ranting now. >.>
