New Game Infinite Load Screen

Recommended Posts

I recently had an issue with vortex which made me switch back to NMM, but that's not what I'm having a problem with. After uninstalling and reinstalling both Fallout 4 and all the mods, I'm stuck on an infinite loading screen when starting a new a game. I've cleaned all the plugins that called for it, organized my load order with LOOT, but nothing works. When I alt-tab I hear a holotape being picked up along with in-game radio static. Not sure what to make of it. I really hope someone can help. Here's my load order and thanks in advance!

I have only ever used NMM for the past 4 year's and everytime I try " LOOT " it always messes up the load order. I always practice the Rule " The install order is your load order " and it has served me well. Word of warning NMM is reporting wrong mod versions i.e. if you install and old version of a mod NMM will report it as the newest version.

Hmm, I've never really had a problem with LOOT with their later versions. There are two mods that don't get correctly placed in my load order but that's an easy fix.

@Azzhat

You may well be right. Maybe I just had bad luck with it and my load orders. The new version of CWSS no longer requires any patch's for C.A.P. or Advanced Needs,

Hmm what check's would i do.. Try a clean save, check Vram, Script log's, Disable one by one any location mods, heavy texture mods, but first I would go back to a point were I last checked as working.

I got it working. I removed the CWSS CAP patch and that did the trick.

I'm not switching over to another mod manager. Period.

'Twas Just a suggestion and I apologise as this wasn't any help regarding your original post. I switched to MO2 from NMM a good while ago before Vortex was out of testing and I've never looked back. Granted it does take some effort to learn to use it but once you have the know how it's hands down the most feature packed mod manager out there in my oppinion. I've only used it for skyrim and fo4 but it works great for both of them.

I came off as unnecessarily hostile and I apologize. Last time I followed someone's suggestion to switch over to a different mod manager got me into a heap of trouble with my game and pissed me off to no end.

Yup I can understand that and depending on your setup it can be a huge undertaking to switch. It might be worth your while to read a bit about MO2 and see if it's of interest to you anyhow :)
