Dude500X Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Let me start by listing mine. First.. Moths.. I am shit scared of Moths. Dont know why. But thats not the weird one. The weird one.. well.. its a fear of Odd Numbers.. I "literally" cannot relax if I have created an odd number. Yes, this, in turn, affects my gaming.. my SPECIAL stats in Fallout for example.. always end in even numbers.. and I get so edgy if my skills are odd numbered after level up. I must thank loverslab for not having a word count on creating posts though... my fear even extends to Microsoft word in my assignments.. cannot relax if I see my word count being off numbered.

I got one of the silliest, whackiest, most hilarious phobia's. But it really freaks me the hell out! I hate the stereotypical Alien. You know the ones with the big black eyes and all that. *shudders* They totally give me the heebeejeebee's. I don't particularly believe in aliens or anything I just hate them! I think it started when I was like 3 years old. I remember this vividly. I went to the mall with my dad, he went into a bookstore and I saw the book Communion. The cover with that freaky alien scared the hell out of me, to the point my father had to rush me home. I totally freaked out! Then when I was 7 I went to the Planetarium with my mom and dad and they had this documentary on aliens. This was like torture, and my parents being fucking sadists made me sit through the whole thing! I couldn't sleep for months. While they don't creep me out as much now as they used to when I was a kid, seeing a picture of one of those big black eyes aliens still unnerves me. I know it's totally silly! But yeah I HATE those damn things even if they aren't real!

Arcueid Brunestud Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I hate height, I hate being in an aeroplane, I hate crowded place, I hate being a centre of attention.

Pixie-K Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I was diagnosed with horrible OCD in my early teens, and as a result I had issues with odd numbers in EVERYTHING. The number of steps I took through my house, how many times I touched an object, even sometimes how many breaths I took in a 10 second time frame. I somehow conquered it fully through sheer willpower. I would have to say my only big fear these days would be snow plow trucks. A few years back I had a head-on collision with a city snow plow truck, which is basically a dump truck full of sand with a V plow on front. My car ramped up it and caught some air before flipping several times until a tree stopped it upside down. All I remember after that was unbuckling myself, kicking out what was left of the windshield, and trying to crawl out all the while trying to see through blood and tears before I blacked out. I regained consciousness at a terrible time, the doctor was in the middle of picking all the glass out of my hands >_< Now I have issues with remembering even the simplest things at times, thanks to head injuries

Wish I could do or say something to fix it... I suppose all I can offer is my best wishes.

polluxval Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I can have a lion infront of me and I'll be like "meh", a rhinoceros could try to pummel me and I'll like "meh", but if a cockroach get's near me, I could almost scream. I can't stand roaches, I dont know why the hell nature created those bastards... maybe to give me a phobia?. :/
woodenstick Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Centipedes.... God they are terrifying creatures Once had a house centipede "run" (they are pretty damn fast) at me while I was in the bathroom, jumped screaming into my bathtub for cover.
Captain Cobra Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Claustrophobia. No elevators for me, I'll much rather take the stairs, thank you.
ChancellorKremlin Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Lakes, and swimming in dark, murky water.
Queen Bee Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Oh god, deep lakes and oceans where I can't see the bottom. I'm especially terrified of those huge expanses of blue water. I will never go on a cruise, ever. Spiders. *shudder* Becoming mentally handicapped. Getting 'found out'. Those of you who know me know what I'm talking about.
Happysparkles Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Oh my I am such a mess then I have many phobias and they all stem from bad instances in The past. I tend to have to wipe my feet 2-4 times when ever I enter a building at the first carpeted spot. I also cannot stand being around many people so avoid Times Square like a hex. I hate cockroaches I fear them for my life but I have to kill them when one comes to my house. While my wife laughs her buttocks off watching me try to defend her and our puppy. I am obsessed with even numbers especially 2. Those are my three big ones. Oh and talking to people in real life. I won't go into details but to make along story short I had a few friends for many years who betrayed me in the worst way. So I tend to keep to myself in real life. Which is a shame cause I love everyone but I have a tendency not to trust many.

I fear driving from seeing many accidents happen on my life. But lucky for you you've overcome many of the OCD issues. I tend to worry I have them too since I tend to have the same tendencies. I guess I should get it checked but then I like yourself used to be worst. A thing that helped me from going all he way back home from the train just to touch a coffee pit one more time is my wife would be seeing me do these extremes and point it out to me and I did not want her to be annoyed by it so I am kind of better these says but I am still obsessed with even numbers just a bit less noticeable.

Remy Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Hmm my biggest phobia is not breathing, several times during night i wake up with the feel of not breathing, catching for air. Spiders, it has 6 legs 8 eyes, im not touching dat shet Water, during my childhood mother had to literally fight me to get me into a bath as i was having panic attack, when puting my head under the water shower, proly connected with the breathing phobia, even now i have a great respect for water (and no im bathing regularly, in case someone would think im a smelly fart, afraid of taking a bath )
