CookieKookie Posted June 26, 2020 Posted June 26, 2020 I want to convert my idle and combat files so that they can work on SE.
Tandy85 Posted June 26, 2020 Posted June 26, 2020 Cathedral Assets Optimizer should work for the conversion. Theres also guides like https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2970

beesin Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 I can not, for the life of me, figure out how to do this using MO2. The linked mod instructs users to drop the mod file and HavokBehaviorPostProcess.exe into the Data/Meshes/Actors/character/animations directory, but MO2 won't let me drop anything into the directory in-app.

That guide is a bit obsolete by now, if you use Cathedral Assets Optimizer, all you have to do is use the executable (Cathedral_Assets_Optimizer.exe) and point to the proper file path of whatever you want to convert. You don't need to use CAO through MO, in fact it should be used externally, ideally with MO closed. Check that "Profile" is set to the game you want to port the files. The file path can be a single mod installed under MO2\mods\<mod name>, or your whole mods folder ("MO2\mods", in this case CAO will scan and convert all the files inside each mod folder). In the "Animations" tab enable the Necessary optimization" setting. Once everything is properly set, press the "Run" button and check the log to see the changes.
