Never seen this before....

So, I am running Skyrim LE without any problems using Leyenda's AIO AP with the basic UNP body with HDT enabled on the body and using the HDT xmls that came with the FOMOD. So I wanted to change bodies so I reran the FOMOD and chose UNPB. Now, whenever I have a follower, she looks like she is about to disappear, but never does. She is just in this in between state. The weird thing is, she solidifies back to normal when my character crouches in the sneak position. She can be standing, sitting, whatever. Whenever I crouch, she goes back to normal. I have done this so many times to see if its repeatable and it works every time.

So, thinking it might be related to the Leyenda AIO setup, I switched over to the Chinese UUNP body and all its associated HDT xml files. Built another UNPB body with the provided bodyslide files and even swapped out the skeleton with the one that came with the Chinese body. Again, everything works including collisions, but my follower continues to want to fade out. Never seen this before. Anybody have similar issues?

Hey

Firstly, what is the chinese UUNP? can you let me know, is it BHUNP you mean?

As for the main issue, if it's what I think then I always used to get it when using the all-in-one by leyanda. Just by using UUNP from bodyslide I resolved it. Don't know what caused it though. Also it is not an issue with BHUNP as far as I can tell, though I am not really interested to upgrade to that.

Chinese UUNP is UUNP with a higher poly vag mesh and a pubic hair mesh. It comes with HDT xml files that allow for thigh jiggle on top of the usual BBB. Got a copy from some thread here on this forum. Never bothered with it cause AIO was good enough. Anyway, I never had a problem with AIO UNP, but when I "upgraded" to UNPB, I built the body meshes with Bodyslide. That's when my problems began. So I thought this was a good time to see what all the fuss was about with the Chinese UUNP body and got it going, collisions, thigh jiggle and all. But the problem described above still exists. Again, I built a UNPB body using the bodyslide files provided by the author of the Chinese UUNP FOMOD.

Why would building a UNPB body using two different sets of bodyslide files give the same problem?

Why?

I may not be understanding what you mean here but it sounds like you went through the installation of AIO-AP again?

With Leyenda's mod installed you could have just created the UNPB body in bodyslide

Doesn't really help now, just saying.

As for Follower disappearing. Is that a Standalone follower?

Do other female NPC's fade in and out or just your follower?

I've not seen the problem myself in years. There a thread about it here, with a "Fix" for at the end, don't know if it works or what it does so use at your own risk.

I know I could have created a UNPB body with bodyslide. However, when I initially installed AIO, I used the prebuilt UNP body that came with the FOMOD. Not knowing how all this really works, I surmised that since I did not have a problem with Leyenda's prebuilt UNP body, maybe it was the act of building a body with bodyslide that was the issue. I tested this idea by reinstalling AIO with the prebuilt UNPB body. But the problem did not go away, so my initial suspicion was not correct.

And as for which followers disappear, I use Emerilada's followers exclusively. He/she packs each follower download with custom UUNP based bodies. They are not UUNP special bodies though, so I just copy/paste in the UUNP special body created by bodyslide, or the prebuilt body as provided by the AIO FOMOD. I did not have a problem using this method when the body I was copy/pasting was the prebuilt UNP body.

And I have seen that thread. Thanks for the suggestion though. I would just add that I don't have completely disappearing followers, just this weird in between state where the skin gets patchy and you can see to the other side of the follower through these patches. Also, the eyes disappear. Here's where it gets weird. The partial invisibility will go away when my character crouches. It doesn't matter what the follower is doing. So, if my follower is sandboxing and it starts having the visibility issue, I can crouch and the visibility issue will go away. It doesn't matter if the follower is sitting, standing or leaning, the visibility issue is tied to my player action. I don't get it.

Oh, and I have noticed this same behavior with Lydia as a follower. But as that is the only vanilla follower I have used since switching to UNPB, I don't know if it affects all vanilla followers. I have not noticed this behavior on any other female NPCs, just my followers. Thanks for your response. I am looking for any help I can get.
