CTD from changing to Custom Race

Thi isn't really new news to me, but it's something I want to fix if I'm going to start using Custom Races like I want.

 

So when I change form a normal race to a Cusotm Race, the little 'Loading Circle' pops up, I get some lag, most likely from it trying to load up the race, and than it gives up and crashes.

 

Anyone have any Idea why? I'm not using the Extended Color things, as I use RaceMenu now, but it may be the hair or something? I don't know.

Disabling all hair mods except the one containing the hair you are going to use might prevent crashes when switching between different races. Thats at least the only way it works for me all the time. If you are not using Wrye Bash as mod manager just make sure to also disable mods depending on the deactivated hair mods.

It's difficult to tell what hairs belong to what. x_x They only have numbers.

 

Wish the race menu was more like Oblivion.

 

I've never been able to understand how to make a Bashed Patch or what not with Wyre.

No simple instrucions saying "Click on this, and it will do this". >>

Still crashes. If it helps, I'm trying to use the LoversGirl Race mod from Nexus.

Apachii hairs tend to cause some major ctds. try disabling them while creating the char.

Maybe you need to keep an eye on the requirements on the LoverGirl Race page:

 

Requirements:

Lovergirl Race requires Skyrim v1.8.151+. If you have a

skeleton_female.nif using BBP or similar in

\meshes\actors\character\character assets female\, you must overwrite

the body meshes that come with Lovergirl Race with ones that are

BBP-compatible. Neglecting to do this will likely result in CTDs.

 

Another good idea might be to install and use BOSS , your load order seems to be a little bit "confused"

Might also be caused if you are switching to a custom race/changing presets of the custom race to a different one if you have other race mods installed sometimes those other race mods will overwrite some of the custom race and cause a ctd. But re installing the custom race mod back so that the files are new and not overwritten will usually fix the problem. I use to have that ctd problem till I figured that out after that I don't really ever have more then one race installed at one time anymore and watch files so that they don't try to over the custom races files.
