Robot Sex animations problem

Hello All,

I recently re-installed FO4 and all the mods I like, so everything is pretty fresh.

After getting out of the vault, I spawned in some "friends" for my female char to have some fun with.

I tried a Mr Handy and a Protectron. I can't initiate sex with them through dialog, not sure if I'm supposed to. But I did through the AAF menus. The animations will start, but the robot (either one) will only do one animated pose, and it never seems to be the right one. I cycled through all of the animations I have for each, but they never change position.

I have the following AAF mods installed:

Vanilla Sex Theme

Atomic Lust

AAF - The One Patch...

AAF VanillaKinkyCreatures animations

AAF Bondage anim

ZaZout4 Beta

Valdemania

BP70 sex anims

Farelle anims

Savage Cabbage's anims

FP Anims by Crazy

Mutated Lust

Mirelurk King Penis

Deathclaw penises

FO4 Creature Game Assets

FO4 Creature Rigs

Release NSFW Sounds

Release  Creature Pack

Don't know if load order is important, but that's the order they went in, just based on when I downloaded and installed. I used Vortex to install all of them.

I do have other mods...

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Maybe not the issue your having, but I've found creature/robot animations to be very finicky. Don't remember what animtype the robot ones are set to, but some types (I think dyn_Anim_loop and other looping ones) don't want to cycle within the AAF interface sometimes. You may need to Close/Open AAF UI to try each new anim.

Maybe check the details of your AAF xml files and make sure that your mod manager didn't do anything strange? Easy way would be to copy the AAF files in from the robot anim esp (Savage or Leito?) or to move that to the highest overwrite priority in your mod manager. Longer way is to root around the XMLs with a text editor and make sure everything looks like it should.

These are from Savage Cabbage's work here, right?

It is a known bug. So far, we know that Mr.Handy cannot transition properly between animation stages, and will always be stuck in the pose he assumes in whichever stage selected as 1st animation

Please forgive me. I must summon our great @dagobaking once more.

Would you happen to know any possible cause for this? Is it possible that the solution is one on a framework level?

If you look at the first page of the Savage Cabbage support thread he explains that the animations are a huge problem but he's working with them as time permits to try to improve them. It's not a framework level problem but a problem with the skeleton's for the robots and how the Game Engine handles them. It's the reason no mod's have , as yet, started including robots in their sex lines, ie no dialogue prompts for robots to initiate sex. You'll just have to be patient like the rest of us. :)

I'm not certain what the issue is in this case (I didn't hear of specific problems with robot anims). But, there are settings built in that allow human characters to switch animations smoothly without issue. But, creatures and robots do not have the same setting. So, they have to be reset differently in between animation changes.

I assume that Bethesda turned off the transitioning for many creatures to help with performance optimization. Presumably, someone can dissect the characters behavior files to fix. But, will take some kind of a wizard to do this.
