YojimboRatchet Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Hi, As a recent player, having bought Skyrim SE (since Steam doesn't sell LE anymore), i have tested a few prominent slavery mods, and found that, while some were fun and with potential, others were a bit disappointing in terms of long term replay value. Honestly, I find that the constant raping and sex does get a bit boring after a while, especially compared to the potential slavery aspect many mods "could" take advantage of. From this aspect, the sex takes away from that replay value, compared to the bondage and slavery. Although i did enjoy Laura's Bondage House as well as the Leon/Leah quest from Cursed Loot, which are both fun and focus more on bondage questing rather than sex, i also found that some mods didn't work as intended. For example, my character's mouth remains either closed or doesn't fit around ballgags, ring gags or bit gags at all, and this is a bit of an issue. The Cute Pony Tail from the Devious Followers slavery aspect doesn't fit at all, and is placed under the ground, so that it cannot be seen, nor can it be dropped / picked up at all. The Whore outfits from the same mod not fitting the CBBE Curvy body. The owners from Deviously enslaved stand around and do nothing, even when they tell you that they are putting you away for the night, nothing happens at all. Even having read through threads and threads of information here and on other sites, no solutions were found to fix these things. I also love the fact that many mods "integrate" with each other seamlessly, despite the many bugs (as mentioned above). Simple Slavery is great to include many mods to their possible auction outcomes. SD+ also is great even though i can't seem to trigger the Sanguine storyline at all, and the config settings don't have any options for the piercings at all in SE. Which of course bothers me that some things don't exist in SE compared to LE versions of the same mods. Then i started to think about the game, the variety of things you can do in the game and how these could be used to enhance the game play of a "true" slavery mod. And since i am not a modder, nor a scripter, and really, i barely understand much of the "computer" talk when reading people's comments lol, I thought i would pass on a suggestion for a possible mod that could be fun, in the hopes that someone would also agree, and maybe take on this suggestion to create such a mod, for fun. My suggestion would revolve around a "farm" for slaves. simple really, but it's what would happen during the enslavement which would make it potentially fun to play. There would be 2 ways to go to this farm: 1. be sent from the Simple Slavery auction 2. visit a farm location, where the house owners would play nice and treat you to dinner and offer you a place to sleep to rest, drugging you with the meal you ate, and waking up enslaved and in bondage. From there, your owner would give you tasks to do during the day. all of wich you would do while bound in some way, that is appropriate to the task given. Any restraints would be "exchanged" for the proper ones for each task, and then go back to normal when the task was done. 1. gather flower and plants around the farm 2. mine in a simple outdoor quarry behind the farm for ores 3. chop wood 4. pull a cart to the market or any other place the owner would need to go (pony girl style using pony boots, pony gloves, armbinders, body harness, and a bridle (bit, blinders and ear on the bridle), and a proper pony tail 5. serving the owner 6. cooking meals there could be other types of non-sexual tasks, labour intensive, that could be done as well. At night, you'd be put into a stable, locked and leashed, and then your owner would come get you in the morning. This would also require a leash to be an active functionality and integral to the gameplay of the mod. obviously bondage is a major part of the mod as you'd always be in some kind of restraints. you could even add some settings that your owner can give you permission to speak, or not being allowed to speak at all, without permission. and there would be consequences if you tried to speak. you would have to "earn" your way out of the slavery. no easy out, no buyouts, no escape, just work and earn your way out of it. from there, you could earn your freedom or your could really piss off your owner so that he sells you to someone else and just lets you go. You could however determine in the settings the min and max time for this, with a min of 5 days, and a max of 30 days. the 5 day min would enhance the experience of being a true slave during the mod. settings would also exist for leash lengths. if you disobeyed your owner, he could leave in the closest town for a few hours in a pillory and NPC's would comment as they passed you by, in a humiliating fashion, or degrading. you'd also be kneeling whenever in the presence of your owner, with the option to crawl as well (determined in the settings, with the trigger to stand / kneel). anyway, just basic thoughts of an idea i had from playing these other mods, which i think could be a big challenge to create but having potential to be a true slavery mod with a purpose other than just getting raped or being used sexually. love to hear what people have to say, and would love to hear from someone who would like to create this mod or try to. if could help, i'd would love to. thanks
Guffel Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Hi, I agree with your statement that most slavery mods are rather repetative and get old relatively quickly, but this idea is not new and has been brought up in this form every now and again. The main reason why such a mod doesn't exist is, in my oppinion, that it is a huge and complex project. Making the slavery features is one thing, but making it compatable with other mods and not break any scenes or quests another. Concerning the content you mention: I think that walking around mining, harvesting ect. will get boring even quicker than watching sex animations. In my mod "Raven-Beak Prison" I included a feature where you mine ore to reduce your sentence by a day per piece. I realized that after a in-game day it bores me already. I found what bugs me is to be limited in my decisions and movement. (That's also the reason why I personaly don't play with devious devices). Anyway, I think, that such a mod needs the feeling of progression and some diversity. Having the player talk with other slaves and plan an escape for which they need to secretly gather certain items during their daily chores, a bit like in the movie "Sucker Punch". Or the player can talk the other slave out of it and help them verbally to accept their role. Or help them with ther chores to save them from punishment. Or the player could rat them out to their master. In essence it needs a story and in the best case companions who go though the same ordeal to make it interessting. On the other hand, if the player decides to be obediant, they can become more trusted and be send to collecting and delivering missions. Later they might even have to punish other salves or go on raid (if they are held by bandits) or lead the business of the owner. That are my thoughts on that topic. Maybe I'll try to make a slavery mod myself one day. But for now I have decidet to revist my already existing mods.
YojimboRatchet Posted June 9, 2020 Author Posted June 9, 2020 i like the progression aspect of course. it's why i listed potential tasks, and left it open for more. it's a basic idea really, but would be fun to see how this idea could turn out with more input and suggestions. the ideas you made sound fun. but in the end, it's just an idea i thought i'd throw out there and see how it could work out through inputs and so on. although i do think if this could be developed and detailed further, it could add a great deal of long term value and risk factor, without interference or dependencies to other mods too much.
