Cabezaurio Posted June 2, 2020 Posted June 2, 2020 I have this bug in the hands of my follower that seem to be separated from the body. Does anyone know the solution?
anjenthedog Posted June 2, 2020 Posted June 2, 2020 You might be able to fix that by rebuilding the hands and feet to match the body, (presuming she has a dedicated bodyslide or you have the skills to handle "manual" nonplayer adjustments) Perhaps even rebuild the body, hands, and feet, then build some armors to fit that body. (again presumimg she has the proper pathing and a bodyslide). otherwise you have to fiddle a bit to build the body/hands/feet meshes and output them to a dummy, copy them into her mesh spec, then clear the dummy output folder spec, and build her clothing to match the body used to build her nekidness into the normal assets path. BUT, it also might just be that she's wearing body armor/clothing that comes with a similar but not quite matching body which also doesn't quite fit the hands and leaves a seam. I have a follower who gets a pretty significant neck seam when she chooses (yes really) to wear certain CBBE outfits (she's BHUNP, but for some bizarre reason she won't wear BHUNP outfits - unless I force her to - and wears CBBE for the most part and UNP otherwise ... her "choice"... I just give her bunches of clothes to choose from and she does the rest. I don't like force clothing the followers. they *seem to have individual styles. I think it's kinda cool, even if it's a figment of the imagination...but I digress). How do the seams look when she's nekid? If her seams look fine, then it's probably the body mesh used to fit the armor/clothing having slightly thicker upper arm structure. easy if she and the outfit are both CBBE, but can be a pita "live with it" situation if the outfit is UNP and the native follower body/feet/hands isn't a 100.00% match to the body used to create the armor/clothing. Does she have an accompanying bodyslide preset? If so, it'l make fixing things easier.

How could you fix your hands from the game files?
anjenthedog Posted June 2, 2020 Posted June 2, 2020 They way I see it, you would have to create a body preset to match her image. I've done that with several followers, but it can be a real pita to get it right, since although an author may have used SevnBase, or CBBE Voluptuous, or UNOP skinny or whatver to create the mod, they tweak it here and there to their liking, so we have to kinda reverse engineer by eye to get there. it takes time to get it right, and sometimes even then you can't quite get the exact duplicate. I use BHUNP as the basis for my conversions if the follower comes as a natively UNP(ish) type. I use 3BBB Advanced if they're natively CBBE(ish). So once you discover the body style (skinny athletic, TopModel, etc and chose the corresponding BHUNP or 3BBB-Avd Preset and tweak it to match the original follower intended body, you save that as "this_hawt_followers_nekid_body_preset" This is now your custom follower's bodyslide preset. Well, her naked one anyway. you can tweak that further for breast and nipple squish for heavy armor and save that too under another name, now you also have "heavy_armor_squashed_boobs_hawt_follower_preset" to fit certain clothing to. This is so you can refer to it later without having to start from scratch... So now, you've created a match for the original no-bodyslide-provided body. That is, you've created her/his bodyslide. (or at least partially, as much as I know how anyway) then build your follower's body, hands and feet, (I always check the Build morphs checkbox btw) PS> From what I can tell, if you tweak your body, then build it, then choose the corresponding feet and hands, and build each, they automatically fit that body.... then use the body preset(s) you just created to fit your desired clothing/armor As I said it can be a pita. That wasn't a step by step just a overview. UNP(ish) types can be a real pain because Bodyslide Studio uses CBBE textures, and UNP (ish) presets don't render correctly with CBBE textures. idk why whatever. In addition, when working on follwoer meshes, unless they're naturally pathed correctly (I don't know how) (ie they have a real live bodyslide spec that comes with and are therefore Naturally pathed) you have to work with dummy Bodyslide Studio output path folders and manual population of the follower mesh folder and potentially fiddle with their textures too, SO.... If you "grokked" my blather and can run with it, kool. if not, I'd recommend at least temporarily accepting the little bits of seam that sometimes happen when you wear an outfit that wasn't actually fitted to your body/hands/feet trio. and hone up on your bodyslide skills in the meantime. edited for content and typos, always with the typos... these stupid fingers Personal note; I sure do wish Bodyslide Studio came with the ability to support both CBBE and other textures (UNP...ish) so it could render the BHUNP UUNP UNP flovors properly and still support the CBBE form.
