Since the DLC Dragonborn, resting does not restore hp/mp/sta

Anyone got any ideas why this is, or how to fix it? I saved in the middle of combat at one point, and it was after that I noticed the bug (I doubt it's a feature!). I've got several gameplay enhancing and world balancing mods, could they be interfering with something from Dragonborn itself?

It's only a feature if you are are a vampire that has gone too long without feeding. Have you tried the unofficial dragonborn patch?

In Morrowind it'd be a feature, not so in Skyrim ;) I do use mods that affect the game on a large scale, mainly Recquiem since it's a rather big overhaul. As far as I know I've not installed anything that directly mixes with the resting though (and it wasn't a problem before) so who knows?

I have indeed installed the unofficial dragonborn patch, to no avail though!

Sounds like a corrupted save. If you're familiar with hex editing I'm sure you could fix it quite easily without ruining your game.

It's kind of like when skyrim was released. You basically had to be in your house or a faction residence while saving to not screw something up in some way. Lol

I checked diseases too, even went to a temple and got cleansed! Nothing there!

I've got no idea what hex editing is though.

Doesn't requiem sort of remove the regeneration of hp and stamina and lowers the regeneration of Mana. And that the only way to recover is to rest in a owned bed, potions and enchantments... I was pretty sure I read that in requiem.

Nah! It lowers the regen a bit, but it's completely filled on rest. Like I said, this all worked fine up until the Dragonborn DLC.

I loaded an earlier save and resting worked fine. At some point during my playthrough it bugged out again however, and I suspect it has something to do with combat. Like... engaging in any combat ever will make me unable to rest ever again :P

Maybe try to add vampirism to your char via the console and then removing it. Maybe the game added an unwanted effect to you char without having any reason to do so, with Dragonborn this became A LOT more common for me, had to remove a few effects that got added to my char in just a few hours playtime. They were just visual stuff like glowing draugr eyes and stuff like that, but maybe it'll help ya.

In PC versions of Skyrim, the console
can be used to add vampirism without being bitten or waiting for the
stages of the infection to progress. Open the console using the tilde button, and type player.setrace <desiredrace>vampire and enter. Replace the <desiredrace> with one of the ten possible races. Meri races must use the longhanded version of the race name. For example, to change into a Bosmer vampire, type: player.setrace woodelfracevampire. If a race other than the one selected at character creation is chosen, the rendered hero becomes completely bald.

After that close the console, open it again and remove the vampirism by changing back to your original race.

Edit:

Another way of curing vampirism is via console commands; open the console and type, setstage 000EAFD5 10. By using the console command code showracemenu to change the Dragonborn's race, vampirism is immediately removed. This is also true of the changesex command.

Or try that.

Would it affect anything about my character, such as skills? Or is it harmless? I use bodymods, might it interfere with such things...?

It's the same as becoming a vampire and curing yourself in the game, so I guess it's safe to do so.

It didn't work, sadly! I've yet to determine the cause of this. It's what keeps me from playing Dragonborn which is a real pity.

Here's the weird thing. I've got a save in which I can safely rest one time, it works just fine... and next time I want rest, nothing is restored. Doesn't matter if I rest in the exact same location or somewhere completely different, if I've got weapons up or not... just doesn't work! Gah!
