Oblivion is an old game that is CPU based and if you CPU isn't top of the line it will serve as a bottleneck to your graphics. It matters not if you have a blazingly fast video card, if your CPU isn't top of the line. Installing this can also limit you installing mods that add NPC's or creatures to the game world as it will over whelm what your CPU and RAM can handle.

I'm using it with the Steam version with no problem.

Beside which, there really shouldn't be much difference with all the oblivion-mesh.bsa, unless it's a non-official version of Oblivion with modified BSA

Im only getting the oily effect on faces. All the bodies dont seem to be changed. Anyone know why?

Also what do the other files do? I can only recognize the oily textures file, is it possible to explain what the other links do cause the filehost isnt exactly on the forefront of bandwidth speeds if you know what I mean. Rather not spend time downloading something I dont need in the first place. Thx.

They are PYFFI Optomized Mesh *.nif file

PyFFI is a program created by PYTHON

The purpose of this is to increase performance (FPS+Stability) without reducing image quality by optimizing .NIF files using PyFFI

Generally, you can use PyFFI youself, but it takes time, and some people aren't sure on how to use it, these Mesh are already Optomized through PYFFI.

To check if everything's in the right spot, look at the file structure in your zip and then do the same with your own data folder. If it didn't copy over correctly, try again.

For a likely fix, re-install whatever body you're using. If the face is working, but not the body and it installed right, it shouldn't be this pack, it's more likely the mesh.

Ungh...tried everything now and it still wont work. I keep getting oily textures for the faces only. Not gonna keep bothering with this anymore, hopefully someone can come up with a possible solution for me. Thx jankhater for the help but I just cant seem to get it to work.

Which body mesh are you using?

And what are the steps you've taken?

With not enough information, no one can know what the problem is.

Well I asked previously what steps need to be taken to install this and advice wasnt exactly forthcoming so I just used OBMM to package the texture folder and install it.

Mesh goes into Mesh folder, Texture file goes into texture folder.

If it's not showing up.

1. Make sure the texture folder is correct, so it's not texture/data/texture, or Texture/texuture, etc.

2. Make sure the body mesh is using the correct texture, and the mesh is tweaked to use gloss in nifskope

3. Archiveinvalidation, which one are you using

How are the eyes screwed up? It's probably Xeo or an idle mod. This upload is only textures, they can't screw up eyes.

It will not replace your current body replacer but it will reskin it. Think of the body replacer (or "meshes") as a piece of paper and "textures" (or "skins") as a color that you put on that paper....

Now where it becomes slightly more confusing to those wading into this for the 1st time is that most body replacer packs have skins bundled into them. This is so that you are "good to go" right out of the gate. If you go and get a "high rez" skin make sure that it is for your body replacer type or it will not match up and look terrible!

Those are all race texture, completely unrelated to QTP3 as far as I know.

I cannot download ANYTHING from freakshare - the damn download timer just keeps resetting whenever I try to download something.

Alright, the 2048 oily skin textures has a LOT of files and not a single .esp file, and NO instructions.

Simply copying the entire folder does not work (NO races are added, and those that I already have get 'googly eyes'), so what should I do.

I would like to get ALL the files in the pack to work (the x117, mbp etc.).

Does anyone have instructions?

Please?

EDIT - Let me Guess, I wasted my time and will still have to download all those other files anyway, Because this folder will only replace the textures for them - and the Mods themselves are not in fact 'Included' as someone could be led to believe.

If this is the case please change your description to specify 'Included - SKINS ONLY'.

On the bright side at least I can use these once I download the races and mbp, so it isn't a complete waste.
