Folder managed by Vortex-so how to edit contents?

Skyrim LE, Win 10, Vortex 1.2.10

I've done a clean install of Skyrim and started my first session of modding with Vortex.  All was going fine, until I went to edit a line in my SKSE.ini.  There was nothing in the folder except the Plugins folder, and a file called "__folder_managed_by_vortex".  After various searches online, I decided to reinstall SKSE.  Installed using the installer, same path as before but still no SKSE.ini appearing.  I'm assuming that it is somewhere, and just being 'managed by Vortex', but no search brings it up.
How do you edit ini files in folders that are 'managed by Vortex'?

TIA!

Thanks, that is what I've done since-copied my old SKSE.ini file from my old Skyrim install that I'd saved as a backup.  Does Vortex normally empty/hide a folders contents like that though, or stop things being installed there?

Fair enough!  ? I'm getting on alright with it now-quite like the integration with Loot for the auto load order sorting, and conflict notifications.  Fingers crossed that this is the only issue I come across!

The "_folder is managed by vortex" is just a flag to let Vortex know that there is stuff in that folder that Vortex is responsible for (that Vortex created that folder and put the files in). The file doesnt really do anything on its own

If you have that flag in that folder, you most likely have a mod installed in Vortex that should contain your SKSE.ini, if you want to edit something in that ini, you should do it through Vortex - not inside the games data folder

When Vortex deploys mods, it checks if there are any diffrences between the games data directory and the mods stored in Vortex's data directory. If there are diffrences, Vortex will ask you if you want to keep the changes (use data files) or revert the changes (use by vortex stored files)

Aaah-and if I had installed SKSE via Vortex, I'd be able to use the 'Open in File Manager' option in the 'Remove' drop down, and edit it there. I now for future-thanks!
