NTK Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Hi all! Can you explain me how to remove pants (in outfit studio) from this outfit? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/44464 ??
myuhinny Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 There's a high chance that there is no body underneath those pants so if you remove them there's not going to be anything underneath them so you'll have to redo the whole body file for the outfit. There's 3 ways. 1.) Click pants and then click the little space ship looking thing if just the pants become hidden then you can right click the pants and hit delete shape. 2.) If the pants are attached to the top you can use the zap option to delete the mesh out. In the options there is one named masked vertice. Select it and hold down the L mouse button to start masking what you want removed make sure you don't get other stuff that you want to keep. Once the pants are masked go to brush and selected invert mask. This will make the shirt become masked and the pants unmasked as the unmasked part is what will get deleted. Next go to slider and select new zap slider. Next click file then save project as name output file name and display name and hit save. Go to bodyslide part and click outfit/body and look for your file name and select it. Click preview so you can see the model and body and tick the box for the newzap and the piece that you wanted removed should be gone. Double check to make sure nothing else got zapped by mistake and if you see nothing hit the build option and read where the file was placed at and go get it. 3.) Export the outfit out of outfit studios in .OJ format and load it into blender. Click on the outfit and go to object mode and change it to edit mode. While in edit mode hit P and select separate by loose parts. Turn edit mode back to object mode and start deleting out the pieces of the pants. Now the top has to be reattached so select a piece of the top then hold down shift and start selecting different pieces of the top. Once all highlighted hold down CTRL and hit J for join. (If you have a newer version of blender you can click and hold down the L mouse button and drag the mouse button to mass high light stuff then hold down shift click on a piece and then hold down CTRL and hit J for join. Once the top is back in one piece you'll have to export it back out in .OBJ format and you'll have to redo the weighting and texture paths and stuff as all of that was removed.

myuhinny Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Looks good to me. Outfits like that are not going to have bodies underneath them most of the times as the body adds to the nif size and since you can't see it most modders remove the parts that can't be seen to reduce the nif size. So you must start a new project load your exported zapped file into it delete out the old body and adjust the sliders for the body to make the body fit the outfit once done export with reference so that the body you just got done adjust is exported with the outfit otherwise if you just export it the outfit's going to be empty. You might have to use the increase/decrease mesh tab on your finished project to remove clipping.
