firescoper Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 Hey I was wondering if anyone has run into this problem: Randomly once i'm into a play-through and going good, without warning my character will stop moving, strip all of his clothes, and i am unable to move, interact or do anything. I've tried to stop animation in the Sexlab mod config, I've tried actually starting an animation but all that gets me is a character I can move and attack with but still can't interact with anything and or open my inventory. I even tried cleaning Sexlab and uninstalling it, nothing. It completely soft locks that character there, and it seems to start whenever I interact with another character. Spoke to both followers which resulted in my guy again, stopping, getting nude, and standing there. Incredibly annoying, was wondering if anyone had a fix or a similar problem like this. I only use newest Sexlab version and Sexlab Romance. Pls Help

firescoper Posted April 18, 2020 Author Posted April 18, 2020 Just now, 27X said: Hella out of date. Good to know, do you think that would have correlation, even if im not using that part of the mod? It just seems to happen randomly.
27X Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 the best way to test is a profile with it and a profile without it, with everything otherwise identical

Then if you have nothing else that can trigger a Sexlab animation event, it has to be Romance. But while it is out of date, I use it frequently and have not had these issues. (Skyrim being what it is, that doesn't mean much on your end.) 27X's advice on testing is right, but I would think you either have something else that is hitting Sexlab, or something is very wrong with your Romance install, or something is sending setstage commands to Romance for some reason (I'm unaware of anything that does this.)

Even with an uninstall of Sexlab Romance, a reinstall of Sexlab Romance, a profile change on Sexlab, and just waiting to see if it just had an animation runtime, nothing seems to work. Makes me think it has to do with Sexlab itself? Super frustrating, i'll continue to test but if anyone has got any idea please share.

A list of things I would do in this case (roughly in order): 1) Run a script cleaner (ReSaver is my preference) 2) From whatever mod manager you are using, untick Sexlab.esm and see if something other than Romance flags a missing master. That would be the next suspect. 3) From Sexlab's MCM, use Clean System and wait until it says it is done. See if the problem persists. 4) If all of that fails, start a new game and see if the problem starts again (sometimes, saves just go tits-up for no clear reason and they are not always recoverable).

Unfortunately after clearing the list, the problem persists. I unticked every file pertaining to Sexlab as its lead plugin and let it run on its own and it still happened, even after cleaning it on the mod and save file. Now i'm going to try a new game and hope for the best with the issue, i'll tell you how it goes. Appreciate you and 27X trying to help me out with the issue. Thanks again.

Then I'm inclined to think it isn't Sexlab or any of its dependents doing it. Sexlab cannot initiate anything on its own without explicit use of the debug spells or the MCM.
27X Posted April 18, 2020 Posted April 18, 2020 also use new saves. Also make sure your FNIS/Nemesis changes are going through 100%.
