Georg3 Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Hi I recently started modding Skyrim Special Edition, but no matter which mods I use, the sex scenes won`t start. They will undress but then just stand at the very same place (inside each other) and groan etc. occasionally making strange faces. It is the exact same if my character is involved. I downloaded SSE on Steam and as I said used multiple mods and their requirements, but it was always the same.
Dorabella Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 Your mod install and load order . When you installed the mods, did you launch FNIS? Spoiler
steve418 Posted April 12, 2020 Posted April 12, 2020 I was having this problem and realized I installed SexLab incorrectly (with MO2). When updating FNIS, it didn't say 'Reading SexLab'. That's the clue. I re-installed SL by simply pasting it in the Skyrim /Data directory and it works now.

That defeats the entire purpose of using MO in the first place. It also tells me you didn't really solved the issue but just got rid of the symptoms. Do you also have FNIS installed directly in Skyrim/Data? or did you learned to install and setup it to run through MO? If I were to be more specific here I'd need to start copy&pasting stuff I wrote on my guide about MO. OP's problem is most likely just not using FNIS properly or not using it at all (given the fact that "character standing inside each other" is the default result when the behavior files aren't properly created/updated by FNIS, and that OP doesn't even mention FNIS which is the first thing one should check when facing animation problems).
Georg3 Posted April 13, 2020 Author Posted April 13, 2020 I used FNIS, but not properly. The first comment actually gave me all the help I needed. Thank you a lot.

It's entirely possible I'm not using MO correctly, however it's working for all the other mods I installed. I installed FNIS manually btw per the README option. Maybe that was the issue? Like I had posted originally, simply copying the SL mod into the data folder then allowed FNIS to read the files. That clue was from the technical troubleshooting thread. BTW, I did check out your MO guide, it's nice but I didn't see anything specific to what I had done incorrectly. I would probably need to just start over.

I would probably need to just start over. If you install a mod manually into Skyrim/Data, MO won't be able to manage it, which means all the advantages of MO are partially wasted. Also, other mods installed in Skyrim/Data won't be able to recognize mods installed in MO. For example, as you have FNIS installed in the actual Data folder now every mod with animations must be installed in Skyrim/Data too, otherwise FNIS won't recognize these mods installed, the behavior files won't be properly updated and most likely some mods won't work for you or you'll get a general T-pose. If you're using MO, the idea is to install pretty much every mod through MO, so your Skyrim/Data folder is clean (and even more important here, your MO can actually manage your mods, which is the general purpose of any mod manager). So if your FNIS or Sexlab, or any other mod install didn't work in MO you did something wrong or are missing a step. The answer here is not to install the mod manually, because as I said in the beginning, that defeats the entire purpose of MO (which is keep all your mods in a separate location, leaving your original game files intact).
steve418 Posted April 13, 2020 Posted April 13, 2020 Yeah, I think I'm going to have to start over. Animations seem to be working fine, however I am having issues with physics and collisions now.
