Modern AMD Radeon cards and occlusion culling in ENB

Do modern AMD Radeon video cards still suffer the inability to force ambient occlusion culling?  This was reported in 2011–2014 posts, and is why (or one reason why) ENB users have so consistently favored Nvidia GeForce RTX video cards.

I'm finding the price difference between them to be significant enough to find out whether this allegedly crucial difference still exists in recent cards.  Isn't this something AMD would have fixed by now?  I'm not finding material about this that dates within the last couple of years, though. (I'm also a Mac dork about to build a Windows PC for the first time in many years, so if this seems like a bonehead "everyone knows that" question to the average Windows gamer, please have mercy.)

PS: I asking primarily about LE/Oldrim.  While I will install SSE and mess around with it, 9/10 of my favorite mods don't exist for SSE yet (if ever).

I ain't no expert on this but i believe it's not a problem anymore, and there are mods out there (at least one) that add occlusion planes for more performance (mostly in towns and such)

The price difference shouldn't be that significant unless you're on a budget...

As for your favorite mods, just know most of them can probably be converted in just a few clicks using Cathedral Assets Optimiser (it's on SE nexus).

You realize you're contradicting yourself right?

People use green over red because Boris hasn't used an AMD card in over decade, and it has nothing to do AMD fixing anything, it has to do with how Boris access depth shading in a scene.

It's also a flat difference in performance between red and green, and 57XX hasn't changed that at all. Green gets better performance in ENB, period, and generally better performance at each SKU irrespective of price, and that isn't going to change until Navi RDNA2 cards are on shelves, whether online or otherwise.

Given that I'm asking questions, not asserting anything, I'm not sure what you (27X) mean by me contradicting myself.  I didn't say anything about a 57XX series in particular.  Nor did PraedythXVI, above you. So, I'm not sure who you're responding to, about what.  Anyway, if Boris the ENB guy doesn't do anything to account for AMD cards, then people favoring Nvidia for ENB is true, and is exactly what I have observed.

Anyway, if the AMD ambient occlusion culling isn't a real issue any longer, but poor AMD support in ENB is still an issue, then I will stick with Nvidia.  PraedythXVI, yes I am on a budget, so the price point difference matters, to some extent. ?  I do want to get a good enough card that it'll be good for a few years, and when you get into that range of card (like 2070 Supers), the average price difference between that and a roughly comparable AMD is actually non-trivial.  But, it sounds like I just need to bite the bullet on that.

Converting: Yeah, I know, but just getting this stuff to work and resolving conflicts in one game (that is heavy with SKSE plugins, etc.) is enough for me to wrestle with at the moment.  I'll try an SSE build over time.  After I burn through all my LE stuff and get tired of re-doing even the mod-added quests, there will probably by then be all kinds of SSE-only stuff I want to try, so I'll have more motivation.
