Can you be more specific? What did you do to use it?

I just did this, and the 3dmigoto mods loaded with no errors:

  • Fresh install of the game
  • Downloaded files from here
  • Copied shortened towel pkg files into data/asset/D3D11_us
  • Copied files in the Bathing_MicroNudeSwap.7z/Bathing_MicroNudeSwap folder into /bin/x64

However, I did see those errors when I used an old version of the d3dx.ini file.

@amorrow28@NotAZebraHI, I found an interesting phenomenon when using 3dmigoto. When we use textures, CS3 rules PS-t1 and PS-t2 control two kinds of textures for body textures.

Spoiler

Snipaste_2023-07-18_18-48-32.png.2f7eedff732ea9944ba3d01646a44c37.png

It is normal and realistic for the body in the game, but in the menu in is wrong.

Spoiler

Snipaste_2023-07-18_19-20-33.png.f79b58c1ac9283934a148d3d6bea3643.png

I found that as long as I change ps-t1 to ps-t0, and ps-t2 to ps-t1, then she will be displayed normally in the game menu, but it will not be normal in the game,

Spoiler

Snipaste_2023-07-18_19-03-09.png.3466f9a2091545391d1cf78aee058f7d.png

the reason is that the game The ps-t1 in the game is a texture map, and the ps-t1 used in the game menu is a normal map, and the two will interfere with each other.

The above may be a bit confusing. I found that in the ini configuration file, just add a line ps-t0 to 00.dds, and the complete body can be displayed in the game menu, but the normal map in the control game menu and the game The texture maps are all ps-t1, so it will cause errors.

Sexy mods update

  • Adds shortened towel for Towa
  • Fixes shadow rendering bug that impacted every pkg file for some game settings

Please report if you still observe this shadow behavior:

The character on the right looks darker, the one on the left is lighter, is the left upgraded?
I am also studying the parameters of pkg, and I found that some official initial parameters are actually wrong

@NotAZebraI'm also working on the pkg version of CS3_mod recently, but pkg just provides a body skeleton information without making any changes, and the mod itself is still controlled by 3dmigoto. (Of course I haven't finished yet)
For this reason, I upgraded the original body. Compared with the previous body, the breasts will be more rounded, and the lower body will be more three-dimensional.

The one on the left is unmodded and appears correctly. The image on the right has the shadow bug. This bug was fixed in version 2.2.1 of the pkg file tool chain from amorrow, and I think I re-compiled everything, so my mods for CS3 should no longer be dark like the image on the right.

This is a port of a Utawarerumono collaboration costume for Juna from CS4 that was a free bonus for Japan PS4. Thank you to @takuteka for sharing the costume.

To use, copy the contents of the data folder into your Trails of Cold Steel III data folder.  In the game, go to the DLC tab of the camp menu and use the "Juna's Kuon Costume," and this costume will be added to your inventory.

Ok, I replaced the upload here.  Hopefully this fixes it.  I do not own most of the DLC for CS3, so I do not know what item ID numbers they use.  This time I used internal numbers, so they should be safer.  Please let me know if this one works, thank you!

Does it change when you restart the game? I noticed that changes to texture images will only show up without restarting ifI use a different file name.

I was able to decompile and alter that texture in your file without problems.  My guess as to what is happening is that you are using the same texture filename in more than one mod.  The game will cache textures to improve loading times; it expects that every copy of a file with the same name is identical.  Try changing the file names and see if that works!

Posted

This is indeed caused by the game caching textures with the same name. When I make texture changes to pkg, I have to restart the game to take effect. Before I made changes to the mesh, I only need to reload the game file.
Another question, you use my Emma model, is she normally naked in the game, why when I unpacked her, I didn't find the body texture file.

Does anyone know the item ID for the Bathrobes/ Towels? Is my first time playing CS3 and I'm using cheat engine to try and get the customs.

Download the cheat table by DrummerIX here.

Instructions are identical to my CS1/CS2 instructions.  (Except you are not looking for "Academy Swimsuit," which is the item needed in CS1/CS2.  In CS3, you are instead looking for "Bathing Clothes.")

I do not know the answer.  There is something strange about Body_ps1.dds, for some reason the decompiler will not process it.  I will try to figure it out, although I have been looking at it for an hour without any progress or new insight.

I recommend you (and every modder) always save your work folders.  Decompiling mods is never the best solution for making more mods, @fakecheng has already found that the compiler will distort the model if you decompile more than 2-3 times.

Thank you, I am also curious about this problem, but it is not important, you are right, when I use the name body_ps1, there are often problems, I change other names, it is not easy to make mistakes, these are some strange bugs

Some materials have two texture coordinate layers; I think this is utilized to improve texture resolution for fine details (like the Thors arm patch on the school uniforms).  You can see this by examining the mesh .uvmap file, where there are two TexCoord mappings:

2023-08-1311_07_15-Window.png.da6ea72417c7b289c29af3243456fe0c.png

Note that for some reason, the game is using map 0 and map 3.  That means that maps 1 and 2 are garbage.  In Blender, you can see the two separate maps:  Here is Map 0:

In the metadata.json, you can see that this material "chr011_monyou" has two texture slots for base textures:

Spoiler

2023-08-1311_07_37-Window.png.4ad6a7390c56a5e60fe2e9681b51a9fc.png

Please note that you CANNOT simply delete the second texture or texture map; this shader expects two textures.  My suggestion is to remove this material entirely (delete the mesh) if you can or change it to a different material. If you need to use this material with a single texture, simply delete all the coordinates on the second map and map everything to the first map.

Posted

What I mean is, I unpacked through the initial pkg, but I didn't find this mesh. This problem exists in both Ash and Musse's initial clothing. How can I delete it?
