The "Have Sex" button isn't working on residential lots.

I previously noticed that when my sim invited a gal back to his place and tried to ask for sex, the Have Sex button was just completely unresponsive. When I clicked on it, the interaction menu would just go away, as if I had right-clicked out of the menu. Sex could still be initiated by clicking on a specific object, but the Have Sex button seems completely dead.

 

Today, I did a bunch of tests and tried different things, and it looks like the button works just fine on public/commercial lots; it only fails to work on residential lots. Can anyone explain why that would happen?

I know this topic is old- but I have the exact same issue and can't figure it out either. Did you ever solve the problem?

Have sex button works under relationships development. You cannot access it unless other sim are horny, or you are not enough famous to talk with other fame sim. Another string are signs. Turbo sex signals for rooms. Allow you to block specific areas for sex, strings are settled to rooms. Means if you put a non sex in lot allowed. Obviously sex button never gonna work on that lot .  Last chances is delete from save files in your documents wicked whims auto generated save. And reinstall it from zero. Might works

Usually the Have Sex command works for me but it does fail on occasion.

But those other sims are at least at half a bar or more in friendship, if romantic with the other sim NP unless they are leaving.

If you sim is out in the world somewhere it doesn't always work either, at a lounge or bar then maybe.

 

Home lots are easiest but you have to invite them to visit by phone or ask to hang out first.

Go into BB mode and search for VIP and that object gives a flirty emotional aura when you enable it in game.

Place a few in on the front lawn and 1 or 2 in the Living room and sims that come over, or even come close, they will get flirty and helps prime them for sex(desire).

(You can also add them to bars and nightclubs to encourage more desire, don't forget to enable them when going back to live mode.) 

This is the best time to try the Have Sex command when they are both flirty.

 

If your sim is Best Friends with another sim you usually don't even need flirty to ask.

(Best to start first with a friendly hug command).

 

But if sims are at risk of pregnancy, or they already have a BF/GF, or are engaged or married, they might also refuse.

Some of the WW settings can also be changed to disable those things.

No, I gave up trying to solve it. I've just gotten used to clicking on the floor or an object when I want to have sex at home. I kinda have come to like that better anyway, because you can pick a location of your own preference, instead of just ending up at the bed or the toilet 98% of the time.

The problem is not "accessing" it. The button is there, and when I press it, nothing happens. It isn't a matter of the button not being available, or my sim being rejected. It's a matter of the game being unresponsive to a command I give it.

In that case try deleting WW save file inside your save folders and reinstall. You might need to set setting again. But might fix the problem

Sims don't reject sex in the same way as the other times but the 'Have Sex' command can be blocked  for the same reasons but it just won't tell you why.

 

Mine stopped working even when I moved all my furniture outside.

For some reason sims just don't like outdoor sex anymore, or I should say they HIGHLY prefer 4 walls and a bed.

 

But if you have all the right WW settings it does work most of the time if 'conditions' are right.

 

A version of WW was released some time ago that mentioned changing the Have Sex command to be 'not so easy', paraphrasing here.

Before that change the Have Sex command worked very well without those conditions.

Maybe too close to how a rape command might work?, 'Have Sex' might be taken as such if it worked so easily IDK.

I'd change it to 'Have Casual Sex' maybe?

But I also think those new restrictions went too far in the other direction myself...

 

Funny because WW autonomous sex even works with strangers so what's the diff. anyway.
