Problem getting Cursed Loot to work.

I had all those issue stoo from time to time with DCL, especially the issues with the DCL LAL start.

IIRC after the initial DCL LAL scene and your are free to hobble around I save reload too, just to make sure everything DCL'sch got loaded right.

Also if you have a json file saved for the DCL MCM (saved DCL MCM settings), I load MCM settings only after all required mods are done registering and SL is ready (after the 3rd save reload)

I'm not using the DCL specific Live Another Life start since that would make me run through that entire quest before I could test the functions I actually want to test. I've done the quest once already as well as the quest where you find the girl in the Helgen dungeon and both worked perfectly. I usually just do the "Patron of a local inn" and choose the one in Whiterun because it's an easy place to test the shopping quest.

I followed your procedure exactly just now with a new game but unfortunately there was no change..

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that you shouldn't be able to start the shopping quest if you didn't have your wrists restrained already, but I'm not sure if that was an old change note or if that's how it is supposed to work in the current version. Regardless, when I finish the quest I get a dialogue that says something like "Thank you, you did well but I'm still going to lock you in the restraints I took off for you to complete your task" and then I get locked in restraints even though I wasn't wearing any at all when I started the quest... so that might be a bug too..

I am definitely getting very stubborn about resolving this!

And of course I will share the solution once I find it. I want to thank you a lot for all of the helpful suggestions you've given so far. ❤️

I do have a question you might be able to answer as well.. The reason I kept ZazAnimations in the load order in the first place is because a lot of mods list it as a requirement. My question would be if they list it purely for the animations or if it has any other functions that might be required? In other words, would it be fine not using it at all as long as I have other animations loaded?

That's definitive a bug.

Also that quest went bonkers for me too, but on a heavy modded skyrim, so no surprise there.

Well I must admit I gave up on DCL for a while now and there are enough alternatives on the LL mod bazar to build something similar/different/better/more compatible.

The great pro of DCL is... it's all in one.

I'm just sad that it makes all those issues on a minimal setup.

 

If it's an install issue via MO I wouldn't even know where to begin with, because I have no clue.

Looks like a new version just dropped, I'm going to try installing that and see if it resolves the issue.

If mods need ZAZ as master you need to install it or CTD.

Also ZAZ is THE MOD if it comes to BDSM furniture!

So if mods add those or use those in skyrim you will definitely need it in LO.

Also mods use the ZAZ devices from time to time too.

And they use ZAZ poses, idles, animations too (not the sexlab animations, zaz has a lot more animations for scenes)

It's the mod that provides all the spanking needs, if you ever use PAHE you will understand ⛓️

So basically it one of the 2 great devious frameworks DD & ZAZ.

I have both always installed and they play nicely together for most of the time.

Can't remember a Load Order I didn't had both installed ?

Okay, I will activate it again then. Removing it was worth a try but it seems pretty crucial so I better get DCL to play nice with it in my load order.

So, I tried the new version and the problems I've been having with DCL's shopping quest still persist. 

What I did was remove the old version from MO2 and installed the new version in its place. I ran FNIS after having loot sort the plugin load order, then started a new game and ran with the minimal load order I've been using so far. 

I was still able to start the shopping quest even though I wasn't wearing any restraints (I vaguely remember reading that it was a requirement for you to have your wrists restrained in order to start the quest) and when I went to make my first pick up the merchant didn't initiate the sex animation, I just got sent to the next objective as I have been.

I got a screenshot to confirm that I did install the new version:

 

In the MCM I did see the misogyny option still, but approaching men after setting the probability to 100% didn't trigger the "Come here, woman" dialogue, I will include a screenshot though, in case it is an indication of a faulty installation that the option is still showing:

 

Here is a screen of what I got equipped with after starting the quest, I'm not sure if that open variation of the hobble skirt is supposed to be blocked:

 

I haven't had any mods installed manually in the Skyrim folder besides an FPS limiter and SKSE, the rest have been handled by MO2 exclusively. This is my left pane priority list and full list of installed mods that are active in MO2:

I am still completely stumped as to what could be wrong. 
I allow plenty of time for the mods to get set up before I start the game and attempt the quest, doing several saves and loads.
SL Animations Loader successfully registers the animations I've added and the full count it gives is 322. ZazAnimations loads and registers as well.
The MCM options I changed besides testing the misogyny in Cursed Loot was to activate the rape
I also disabled the option to disable the starting teleport in the Sexlab MCM and I shut off the animation override feature in the ZazAnimations MCM. I attempted the quest with the animation filters in the devious devices MCM turned off as well..

Okay, so I've done another clean install of Skyrim and the modlist I've listed above, I've watched tutorials and done my best to make sure I'm running FNIS right, setting up the correct output mods and so on. It's still a bit over my head but based on several tutorials I've seen I should be doing FNIS correctly (I left the files in the overwrite folder before)
Unfortunately the shopping quest still doesn't work but on the bright side it turns out the prison was never broken... I was trying to go through the wrong doors like an idiot.. T_T

My papyrus logs show the same errors as the ones I've posted above. If anyone could take a look at them who understands how to interpret them I would really appreciate it. If not I'll continue to muddle through and update on progress.

Well THAT explains why you could repeat the stuck scene so reliably.

 

Not tried the new DCL version yet on my setup, still building/updating/removing.

I will give feedback what I experience.

Yeah, I need to figure out why it isn't finding any relevant animations to play. I read in another thread that the straitjacket doesn't allow barely any animations to play but I already downloaded a fix for the Zaz doggy animation that is supposed to be one of the few that works and still no luck.

But you could play any animation if DDi filters are deactivated, I guess...

WAIT!

I fear DCL has it's own filters too -.- and I doubt they are toggle-able ?

I'm trying newest DCL now too aaaannd... I have similar issues.

After DCL sexlab triggering dialogues nothing happens.

In my case it the DCL gag dialogue, "sexy and helpless? let's have some fun" => triggers nothing.

Was wearing an elbowbinder.

Maybe it's a messed up internal DCL filter?

Or DCL isn't DDi 4.3 ready =D

 

Although... was wearing a ebonite harness, that might count as chastity + gag.
