Problem getting Cursed Loot to work.

Hi, I have trouble getting Cursed Loot to work. 

When I start the shopping quest I will get dressed properly and sent on my way but when it's time for the merchant to collect his "payment" nothing happens except that I get sent on to the next merchant. There is no animations or even a brief pause, as soon as the text disappears the objective completes and I'm sent to make my next pick up. 
Also, nothing happens when the text "you're getting pushed to the ground" appears, my character doesn't even get held in place I can just keep walking as if nothing happened. 
When I get the "xxxx is going to rape you" notification that usually works but I've had nothing happen with that as well.. 

 

Here is my load order. I had a lot of other mods but I cut it down to this to try to get it to work without any luck..

I had a clean Skyrim folder saved in a zip file so I deleted the original folder, reinstalled the clean one, ran the launcher for the ini file, then reinstalled each mod, did the devious device ones in the correct order and then ran FNIS and Bodyslide. I then started a new game, loaded up sexlabs, registered the Zaz animations and unchecked the box where it overrides animations if necessary. I didn't change any default settings in Cursed Loot besides activating rape and I tried disabling the starting teleport in Sexlab

Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong, or do you need more info to tell?
I'm still new at modding, sorry..

2nd edit: I should probably mention that I moved my steam folder to not be located in program files since I heard that could cause issues for FNIS. 
I've had plenty of other mods successfully run animations, so I don't think that's the issue but I could be wrong.

Sounds to me like DCL couldn't find a fitting SL animation.

If it can't find a fitting SL animation it just continues.

Usually it uses the ones from DDi I guess, but if you deactivated the DD filters it might search for another one.

Also if it wants to play a gang bang with multiple actors and can't find a fitting animation it just continues.

Aaaand sometimes it just does that without any known reason (known by me that is).

 

I can't see any SexLab Animation Loader (SLAL) in your LO.

Do you have no additional animations installed?

If so you might have not enough variations in animations for scenes with multiple actors.

 

 

and add some packs like

(comes with FOMOD so you can choose during installation if you don't want creature animations)

 

 

or even

 

don't forget about dirty

I installed the human animations for all of those four packs, then activated the Animation Loader since I'd used it before and started a new game. I let MO2's loot set the mod order, then ran FNIS.

After that I started a new game, went though activating sexlab, doing the save and load to get Devious devices to activate, registered the Zaz animation pack and then the additional animations in the animation loader.

Unfortunately there has been no change. I still just get sent on to the next merchant.
I decided against running the creature mods to keep the modlist down so I basically just added the Anim Loader and JContainers along with the animation packs.

I was in a shop with no creatures around and I left all of the mods settings the same except for disabling the override in the Zaz animations pack and activating rape in Cursed loot.

Thank you for your suggestion and for trying to help me out. I wish it had worked because I really have no idea what is wrong. I was hoping a clean install and only using the bare minimum of required mods would solve the problem so I'm stumped.

Edit: I realized just now looking at my own screenshots that FNIS looks like it is loading more animations than just for the mods I have activated. The ones I have disabled I've just removed the checkmark for in MO2, should I remove them completely?

I've enabled XPMSE and it's below SoS in the load order. I also reinstalled the mod again just to be sure. Unfortunately it hasn't fixed my issue with getting Cursed Loot to work and I'm stumped as to what to do.. I've spent days banging my head against a wall..
Another issue I hadn't mentioned is that when I go to the Cursed Loot prison it works right up until the point where I'm sent to go to the mines, at that point the doors don't unlock after the guard has his way with the prisoner (so CL is able to start sex animations, but triggers seem to keep failing on other things)

First, do Sexlab animations work if not triggered by DCL. (seems they do or you had issue already in prison, was a warm up question^^)

DCL searches for animation with the tag aggressive, do you have a variation of different Sexlabanimations ticked in Sexlab MCM (especially the group sex animations mostly aren't tagged for aggressive by default)?

You can play around a bit with DCL settings for rape conditions.

If you didn't yet, install papyrusutil 3.3 overwrite all (old papyrus versions in other mod might cause stuck scenes)

Just to be sure, grab also newest jcontainers and overwrite all.

 

If in doubt about your FNIS performance you could post your FNIS output too (just copy paste + warnings if any, also everything not just a screen from a small part))

 

I don't see your sos racemenu plugin, xpmse ask you during installation to install it if you have racemenu installed. => scratsch that, just saw it, would move it below xpmse.

Also there is an option to export the LO via Mo, so you don't have to make a screenshot from it and it shows the whole LO.

I did some more testing in game and the animations definitely work, even the new ones you recommended to me.

So, the rape function of DCL is working, I stood around naked for a bit and got thrown into a massive gang bang so.. that's working..
I haven't seen the "you're being pushed to the ground" prompt occur yet so I can't say if that's working...
I am still able to start the shopping quest and restraints get added but the sex gets skipped as I progress through the quest.
The "come here woman" misogyny functionality seems to all be working as intended.
However, when I get myself sent to prison everything works right up until the point I get sent to work in the mines, at that point the doors don't unlock and even if I unlock them with the console the exit doesn't teleport me.

(I fought the guards that came to the cell hence the added restraints)

I added PapyrusUtil and reinstalled it. I'm doing all of this through MO2 so I just chose "replace" when it prompted me to decide about how to do the installation. I'm not sure if that is what you meant by overwrite all?

Edit: I should probably have mentioned that I tested the prison and shopping quests again after installing papyrus and the same issues still persist. :(

I just realized that the left pane order actually matters for install priority in MO2 (sorry, I'm still new at this) so I rearranged the mods.

Unfortunately the same problems still persist. 
I couldn't find anything on the cursed loot page about its install priority so I just put it near the bottom, just above papyrus.

I see you posted in DCL support topic too.

That's good, there are the specialists like Zaflis.

 

"Overwrite all" means the mod should win against all other mods added to your setup.

For MO means it needs to be below every other mod that adds papyrus files (mods that come with older papyrusUtil files are for example Campfire and Sexlab).

The conflict column in MO can help you with that.

 

I had various issues with DCL prison too, but not repeatedly the same issue (means scenes got stuck, but most of the time 1 hour waiting helped or chaning position of the PC or NPC a bit).

What you can try if a scene from DCL or other mods get stuck => wait 1hour (ingame^^)

This helps for example if the prison guard should make a comment or force greet to start a dialog after the sex, but doesn't.

Also you could try and start a dialog with the guard and search any fitting dialog, especially if it shows a "..." dialog entry. (it's a while since I played with DCL)

I also had the issues with the shopping quest from time to time, but never found out what made DCL so picky.

I have a lot of mods that can interfere, so I blamed myself.

You have a minimalistic setup atm and DCL scenes should work much better.

I've moved Zaz above devious devices in both the plugin load order and the left pane priority order, ran FNIS again and tried both the prison and the shopping quest with the same issues still. I did it from a new game start as well.

Unfortunately the game doesn't let me wait once I've been told to go report to the mines, I've already tried. I'm okay with small workarounds like that and I've tried what I could think of (such as unlocking the doors with the console) but that didn't work either. 

And yes, I actually created the other post first but then realized it might be the wrong place to ask for help since there is a dedicated forum for it. I was worried people would be upset and tell me to go here, honestly, but so far they've been helpful. I just wish I could figure out what is wrong. Right now I'm having trouble even getting Papyrus logs working...

Unfortunately even after running the game a number of times all that happened is that it created the folders, but it doesn't add the logs no matter what I do in the game. I had to create the SkyrimCustom.ini since there wasn't one already, at first I ran it with just the papyrus settings, then later I tried making it a copy of the Skyrim.ini with all of the settings in it, but that didn't make a difference either.

Edit: I figured out that I need to use the ini editor in MO2. (doh)
I loaded a game where I'd just spawned in after the alternate start "I'm a patron of an Inn" then started the shopping quest and went to make the first pick up, then exited the game. Here is the log: Papyrus.0.log

I loaded a game where I'd just been processed and was on the way to my cell. I went there, slept.. The warden had some fun, animations played fine even though it put my char in the aggressor role, then I went to report to the Foreman and he had his fun as well, after that the objective changed to "report to the mines" and I went to check the doors, which were still locked. I exited the game at that point.

From my layman's understanding of the papyrus logs it seems that DCL isn't finding any valid bound animations and is canceling the scene when I go to a merchant during the shopping quest. I used the Zaz animations MCM to run a test animation with a merchant after DCL failed to find a valid bound animation, just to see if there was one installed that would work and as the screenshot shows, it's not that the animation isn't there, DCL just isn't selecting it for some reason?

AAAH!

If you use DDi filters for sexlab you have to deactivate ZAZ sexlab filter.

If you want no filters at all deactivate DDi and ZAZ filters.

Always deactivate the ZAZ sexlabfilter anyways.

You can use SL Tools to choose animations during a sexlab scene

 

This still doesn't explain why DCL reacts more buggy on your setup as it usually does.

Might be an Issue with installing via MO, but I didn't have used it very often.

Hopefully someone in DCL support topic has an idea

I already tried every combination of filters being on or off in the MCM I believe, trying to work it out on my own. I haven't had any luck even though I've had the ZAZ sexlab filter off for almost all of the attempts (I tried switching it on a few times just because I was trying everything)

I did have SL Tools active before I pruned everything down to the bare minimum of mods. I had like 70 mods mostly all working together fine but DCL not working bothered me a lot since it's my favorite mod of the bunch. I didn't know I could use it to switch animations during a scene, though.. I just had it because another mod listed it as a requirement and mostly ignored its MCM menu.. 

I'm still lost as to what is wrong.. I can't really interpret the Papyrus log error messages besides the obvious lines like the one about the scene getting canceled because it couldn't find a valid animation. I don't know WHY it can't, though.. and I have no idea what is happening with the prison not triggering the doors to open at all..

For now I am not touching anything hoping that someone can interpret the papyrus logs for me and give me a hint towards a solution I didn't think of. I don't understand why it isn't working when I have all of the filters switched off.. :(

Yes I hope someone can help you there.

 

While doing the shopping quest or if rapes failed: did you have a "quest dcur_dominantfollower" devious DCL follower?

And do you have a chastity belt equipped or a no sex rule? dcur_df_rule_nosex.OnSexStart() - "dcur_df_rule_nosex.psc

 

and this:

Public Indecency not allowed to trigger. Reason: Conflicting quest

 

I remember if I had a DCL dominant follower a lot of things failed... inclusive the follower.

 

Also, was there a setting that chastity belts prevent rape? if so you get those odd failed rape attempts too

as if DCL isn't installed right, but than again, I have no clue o,o

I did not have a devious follower for any of the attempts I made because I wanted to keep things as simple as possible. I just did a new attempt based on your advice though and disabled the "chastity devices prevent rape" setting in case that was somehow interfering even though the quest never equips me with a belt or a gag (I suspect it's programmed that way since you're supposed to be accessible)
Unfortunately the outcome was the same again. Based on some advice I got in the other thread I also had ConsoleUtil and UIExtensions running for this attempt.

I loaded up a save game I had made right before choosing my alternate start which already had the other mods loaded up, then went through each menu disabling every animation filter I could find as well.. yet somehow DCL is still not able to find a valid animation when I did the quest without a devious follower. I'm stumped..

What I do if I start a new game to make sure mods are able to find all installed animations, especially those that need to get activated later (like SLdefeat):

 

> new game

> wait for mods to finish loading the first time

> start SL

> wait for SL to finish install

> activate creature animations in sexlab

> wait till SL to finish registering creatures

> save

> load

> wait till all mods are loaded => some mods will update now (for example DDi, Estrus registers it's animations)

(> I would only now register any ZAZ sexlab animations, I don't use them because they didn't age well or look glitched, you get better bound animations from DDi and other SLAL packs)

> register all SLAL animations

> save

> load

> wait till all mods are loaded => some mods will update now (for example HDT sextoys)

 

> only now I activate and modify any mods => if I activate a mod now that searches for SL animations it will find everything registered in SL right away (SLdefeat for example)

 

 

Other things that might help sex related:

> Switch off "do not teleport actors" in sexlab MCM => actors will be teleported to the sexlab scene instead of running there, this speeds things up and helps to prevent failed SLscene creations

Yes, I noticed these errors in the logs as well but I don't really know what they mean or why they are happening. I've reinstalled the DCL mod several times during my tinkering and it is near the bottom of my priority list in MO2 so it shouldn't be overwritten by anything.. It does overwrite a few files in DDi itself, though, but I assume that's intended?

I tried your suggestion and deactivated ZazAnimations, ran loot and FNIS again and then started a new game to test the shopping quest. Still the same outcome, though. I finished it this time, disabling more animation filters for each pick up but no luck. T_T

Thank you for the advice, I have been doing something similar but you have an extra save and load in there before you start changing mod settings.

I have been following your procedure until the last save and load, I usually start editing the settings after a single one once DD has activated. Since I don't have a mod that gives me notifications for everything that happens in the background I usually just wait 30 seconds to a minute after I get the last notification of something happening before I change anything. 

I will try again with the extra save and load.

I think you do pretty well already, your just fighting with a b.... complex mod!

 

I had all those issue stoo from time to time with DCL, especially the issues with the DCL LAL start.

IIRC after the initial DCL LAL scene and your are free to hobble around I save reload too, just to make sure everything DCL'sch got loaded right.

Also if you have a json file saved for the DCL MCM (saved DCL MCM settings), I load MCM settings only after all required mods are done registering and SL is ready (after the 3rd save reload)
