kaytavo Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 so i was on skype browsing through the status messages of my contacts and come across this Ā 97% of teenagers would cry if they saw Justin Bieber standing on top of a tower about to jump. i am the 3% sitting there with popcorn, screaming "DO A BACKFLIP" Ā first off the numbers are all wrong more like 30% cry 15% be a douchebag then 25% would do either but care on some level 20% would have no interest in this 10% would be the people doing the right thing and try to save a life Ā rough estimate i know but hey why not ask him if he bothered to think about any of that before he copy pasted a silly trend Ā "What about the % that isnt starstruck or suffering from a envy fueled hate fest" Ā and what reply do i get? a lol? nope i get called a fag... Ah yes the most over used and mostly misused word i hear from todays generation Ā welp time for my reply: Ā so you're homophobic now? Ā now bracing myself for an onslaught of insults related to not being hetrosexual, instead he gets defensive and tells me in all caps Ā Dude shut up!!! Ā at this point i figure either he was offended by me calling him out on the uncalled for slur or he only say the first 4 letters of homophobic either way i figured i wasted enough of my time and decided to play dragonborn for the first time Ā now does any one find people on the internet to be as entertaining as i do?
windpl Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 They would act same in RL, only fact that they can get their asses kicked is holding them up. Most people are self centred egoist, thinking that they are special, it is normal but need a think a little to realize that you are not. - They don't like thinking.
Captain Cobra Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Are you telling me you wouldn't drink the tears of crying Beliebers if Bieber jumped?
Cozy Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Are you telling me you wouldn't drink the tears of crying Beliebers if Bieber jumped? Ā No, jeeze I never understood the seething hatred of this kid. So his music is commercial shit packaged by a bloated corporation to young girls? What else is new. The kid himself as far as I can tell never did anything wrong. I may not like his music, or what he (or rather what the corporation that owns him) represents but pfft he's just another puppet being controlled by Disney. I don't know him at all, and neither do the people calling for his head. I mean some of these douches really want him to die? Why? They don't know him. I'm so sick of people just hating, and being cynical douche-bags because for whatever reason it's now trendy. Sure I prejudge like everyone else, I admit it. It's part of being human. However unlike most folks I know of, I do realize that prejudging isn't a good thing, even if it is trendy. So I do try and catch myself, and attempt to reserve judgement for an individual after I get enough information that warrants judgement.

LordJerle Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 I'd bump into him to make sure he fell. Ā Then I'd blow up every top 40 and any other station that dared play his britney spears soundalike dogshit pop music.
kaytavo Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 and here on the left is another trendy hater
LordJerle Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 So it's trendy to hate bad music? Ā Yeah, he's got a voice, but that still doesn't mean his songs aren't repetitive, poorly written, and overhyped. Ā Just like 99% of what passes as music today. Ā Every time I hear a top 40 station, I want to gouge my ears out, because most of what plays doesn't even involve music so much as it has music in the background with some dude using a voice synthesizer to make up for lack of any real talent. Ā Fuck pop culture. Ā If somebody were to blow up all the top 40 stations, it wouldn't be an act of terror, it'd be a service to the country.

I don't like his music, are you kidding? So I don't listen to it. As for the kid? Don't know him, so I have no reason to hate him. *shrugs*
ag12 Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Ā So it's trendy to hate bad music? Ā Oh, let me think about were I heard this line of argumentation before... people thinking that they know which music is worth to be called music... people thinking that those making that kind of music deserve to die... people sanctifying the use of violence in order to extinguish that sort of music. Ah, right. Nazis. Ā If I were you, I would think twice before I say stuff like that. Bad things tend to happen if people with power think like you seem to do. Not that people thinking like that will ever achieve power in western countries (hopefully!!!)... I can only hope you were joking.
LordJerle Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 When you're forced to listen to it all night at work against your will... Yeah, I really do hope all top 40 "music" stations are victim to a terrorist attack.
Cozy Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 When you're forced to listen to it all night at work against your will... Yeah, I really do hope all top 40 "music" stations are victim to a terrorist attack. Ā Okay I get that you're being snarky... at least I hope. >.> But I guess my point is that there really seems to be some people out there that REALLY want this poor kid dead. Also who even knows? Maybe one day he'll grow up get out of Disney's clutches and make some actual decent music? But because of this irrational hatred for him, and because we live in the digital age where it's crazy hard to recover once someone's reputation has been smeared, he's going to have to live with the stigma of being that horrible Beiber kid the rest of his life, which is kinda sad if you ask me. Ā Sorry if your work place keeps crappy pop stations on the radio, but that hardly warrants domestic terrorism. Why not get an ipod and crank it up so you can drown out the radio? Sounds like a healthier solution to me. It isn't like good music cannot be acquired, or no longer exists, furthermore everyone has their own tastes so there's also that. Another thing I can't stand is when people bash others for their tastes in music. Who died and made these people the music police? Ā When it comes to the actual music industry, yeah I am sick of the packaged, nonthreatening, American idol BS that has taken over the culture. For me the 60's and 70's had some of the best stuff, from The Beatles, to Hendrix, to Janis Joplin, to Blue Oyster Cult, to Zepplin, to OMG DAVID BOWIE... etc... etc.. In the 80's while there would be the occasional rare good tune it was mostly re-hashed synthesized garbage inspired by the advent of MTV. Then came that small period in the early 90's... Nirvana to this day my favorite band, Pearl Jam, Sound-garden, Rage Against The Machine, Tool, and so forth. Then out of nowhere Kurt kills himself, I was just 11 years old. Then slowly things started to again rely on trend, and while I do like artists like Marilyn Manson... Things started to dip into bad... Limp Bizkit, The Spice Girls, Britney Spears, and well once Disney got in on the music industry, and American Idol reared its ugly head... pfft. Just my opinion though, I don't have anything against people who like this stuff, it just isn't for me. Ā But some of those older really good bands still exist, some in newer bands, and then there's stuff like VNV Nation that you really need to look for. Totally love VNV Nation, oh and Otep, god I love that woman. There is still plenty of decent music out there. Kind of rambling as usual, but music goes through it's phases but even when it's going through a downturn if you look hard enough you'll find some good stuff. Currently listening to Placebo as I type this. Ā Music has it's phases and people are eventually going to get sick of the pretty packaged non-threatening corporate drivel with no heart that currently dominates the industry, the same way they got sick of disco and hair bands. However, while I may hate certain brands of music going as far as to hate the actual people who perform it is overkill, and kind of messed up. I mean the hate I see this Beiber kid getting leads me to believe some of this so-called haters are obsessed stalkers. I remember once when I was browsing around on youtube which is moron central, there was this huge Beiber hate circle jerk, basically people just patting each other on the back for hating this kid, and I chimed in saying, "why don't you just contact him and see if he'll fuck you already." XD I mean that level of obsession even if it's from a negative stand-point at times just makes me wonder about why these so-called Beiber haters, really might hate him? Ā I get it, you don't like the current trends in the music industry. You're not alone. A lot of people don't myself included, but why hate the kid for it? That doesn't make any damned sense to me at all. In my eyes all this hate is people being jerks just to be jerks, because as of late that seems to be trendy. You're quicker to get a pat on the back for being an ass, than for helping someone else out these days. I mean showing kindness, and compassion is pretty much viewed as a weakness based on current trends, which is one of those things that ONCE AGAIN makes me think in the back of my head from time to time, Ā Ā Ā Also to add to my rant, people go way too far these days with their obsessions regarding things they supposedly hate. Whether it's Justin Beiber or Twilight... Grant you when it comes to Twilight while I am not obsessed I have some very good reasons for hating that garbage aside from the usual "vampires don't sparkle they ruined vampires" nonsense. But that's another topic in and of it's self. Common sense would dictate that if you hate something you would do your very best to ignore it, not obsess over it? Ā Anyway let me clarify I'm not attacking you or anything LordJerle, if anything I agree with you in terms of the music industry being kind of crap lately. As for my people being jerks because it's cool schpeal I wasn't applying it to you, most of that is just my take on current trends I've witnessed when it comes to this topics title, and how they bug me. Has nothing to do with your personally, since I do think you're just joking around. So don't take it personally or anything, but I figured your snarky comment made a good jumping off point for my little rant. Also seriously get an ipod dude.
NalfeinDoUrden Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I'd treat that situation the same way I treated Y2K and 21/12/12 (or 12/21/12); Stay in bed.

Cozy Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I was rooting for a zombie apocalypse. Ā Just to prove T.S Elliot wrong I was hoping for a planet busting asteroid. Then the world would end with a bang!
LordJerle Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 I actually was off work when Dec 21'st rolled around and had my alarm set just to see if I would be alive for it. Ā I work nights. Ā I get REALLY bored.
