Nemesis and creature animations

Hei guys, i have a problem with nemesis behavior engine and all of creature animations. All human-human sl animations are working just fine, but when i start a human-creature animation, the human part is playing well, but creature just playing its idle. I can easily solve it by just run normal FNIS, but maybe there is a way to make it work with only nemesis?

This is what I found (from another forum post somewhere on LL), still open as of today and response from 17 days ago (late Mar 2020) implies "no progress".

I read the fourth post as use FNIS for human+creature anims, delete the humanoid folders, then run Nemesis for humanoid anims, Nemesis will use all available anims.  Painful workaround, otherwise "not yet" is the current status.

Speculation: If anyone can find some non LL creature animations/mods for him to work with it might help the author put in the necessary effort (you know...SFW type stuff).  Maybe make a 'stupid pet tricks' mod or something (for dogs, horses...whatever).  Once the foundation is ready LL authors can spice it up again.

 

As a dumb spectator I'd think it would just be a modified humanoid 'skeleton' with different lengths for the various bones since the skeletons for many 4 limb mammals share similar characteristics (with different range of motion/animation rules of course).

Speculation: Didn't see a roadmap.  Progress releases to date have been 0.71 (Sep 2, 2018) to 0.80 (Mar 4, 2019) to 0.83 (Dec 9, 2019) implies another year and a half or more before 1.0 might arrive (12% in 15 months based on absolutely nothing else)

I'm no expert with animations, but wouldn't they be able to work with just the vanilla creature animations packed into the Skyrim BSA archives as samples if they needed? I'm guessing we'll just have to wait on them for release. It is looking good though, I'm also holding off on switching until creature support is added.

Tried this one to see if it worked but i get CTD on startup.

Maybe because i have files in my MO2 overwrite folder.

I just tried this as well and it worked for me.

 

Edit: Ok, it partially works. For whatever reason Creature Animations from MNC itself won't play. The ones from other SLAL packs do work though.

Unfortunately I highly doubt the creature stuff is anywhere but close to the bottom of the priority list. The only things the FNIS creatures pack is used for is bestiality mods and "Female Creatures Reworked" which is basically adding physics and bodyslide to female monsters. Even the "Dragon Animation Replace" mod doesn't use FNIS. And if no one has made a "pet tricks" mod by now, I don't see that happening either. But I'm sure Nemesis will include it at some point. Until then you can just use FNIS to build the creature animations and then use Nemesis after that. I'm curious myself to try it... gotta finish updating all my mods first though. Skyrim's gotten dusty.
