Can't have romantic relationship

I have a 5 star celeb friend (my sim is a 4 star celeb) and our relationship is maxed out, but no matter how much i flirt with them, i don't get the romantic interest bar. I should mention that i can gain romance with other sims, just not this one. (Go figure, it's the sim I want to date lol) Any idea why?

Probably either a mod is preventing it or your game is bugged.

Not a common issue I'm afraid.

 

Did you try doing an Origin repair yet?

 

Don't forget to delete your localthumbcache.package in your TS4 folder.

 

Also check for any mods that change EA romance and either update or remove them.

I can gain romance with other sims, it's just this one whom I can't. Also i really don't want to do an orgin repair if I don't really need too, bec I have so many mods I don't want to mess up.

Well if romance works on other sims then it's not a corrupted game at least.

 

Individual sims can be bugged out too sometimes but it's usually far more severe than just romance.

(I use MCCC mod to add, or change, relationships with other sims, kind of cheaty, but if your desperate) 

 

Does that one sim have the unflirty or non-committal trait?

 

Is he/she part of your active household?

(Might help if that's a yes, so you could see their traits although hidden traits won't show up).

 

Do you have any mods that affect traits in a negative way?

Possibly a random, or hidden, trait added by a mod.

They don't have the non committal trait i don't think. (I'll check) They aren't a member of my household. I don't have any mods that should affect it. I'll check on their traits tomorrow though.

Have you tried resetting the sim?
