Stuttering once Pregnancy (fertility) is enabled

Recommended Posts

I spent the better part of the day disabling and enabling all my mods and narrowed down a stuttering problem I've had to PregnancyV3 causing the issue.

If I disable it in the MCM, the stutter is gone. As soon as it's enabled again (regardless if the fertility setting is set to just the player or NPCs) the problem is back.

I'm guessing this just might be the script being heavy, but I was wondering if anyone else had any tips on perhaps fixing or alleviating this issue?

I've tried lowering the scan rate to the minimum but that made no difference.

while i hate to dig up an old thread, with some experimentation i can offer some additional info on the issue.

once your belly size changes, or if you're having sex, the stuttering will disappear.  it is also, exclusively, a pregnancy plugin issue, not spunk related or anything else.  so there's something in the (very large) number of scripts in the pregnancy plugin that is looping/checking a large number of things approximately once a second whenever you aren't having sex or aren't showing, and probably for whatever other conditions it checks to see if it's safe to run x script.  whether you are pregnant are not, full of spunk or not, is irrelevant.  manually boosting the belly size up with the mcm menu will cease the stuttering, so i guess you could just set the minimum size to 1 and call it a day, but i'd like to see what the scripts are actually doing here to cause that kind of lag so consistently.  i've looked at them briefly, but it's a pain. ?

Do you have the exe patched for 4GB of memory?

I heard the GOG version doesn't need that, not it works with the Gog version anyways.

Not sure if this is true and not implying the OP is using the GOG version, just noticed on the Gog forums they said its unnecessary since Gog re-did something.

With the help of some other users we found a culprint in the coding that was running unnesessarily.  By removing that, they noticed increases.

SexoutPregnancy should be causing much less stuttering, as it used to do.
