Shiisha Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 When i try to use anything related to sexlab (normal sex, slavery, rape, etc...) I somehow mess up the mod load order and most of the animations wont start to play, or becomes very buggy. IF somebody is willing to make a step-by step guide, how to do the modding properly with the most optional mods avaliable, i would be very grateful. I am going to make a fresh Skyrim SE download, so i want to build it from scratch, so no bods should it mess up. If you can, in the guide, write down the links for everything that is needed for me. I am not a very good english speaker(I am from Hungary) so don't shout me down for it plz. If something is not vlear about i am trying to write down, feel free to ask me, i am going to try to answer them, so you can help me too.
Just Don't Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Guide Conversion Tracking thread Sexlab Index SE 2nd and 3rd link are sources where you can check which mods are availables for Skyrim SE. The 1st one (guide) is a good starting point, lots of optional stuff and everything with link and by categories. Just go slow, doing basic stuff first and checking that everything works. After that you can add more. Just a couple of tips on top of that guide. 1. Choose a mod manager and learn how to use it properly. It doesn't matter if its MO2, Vortex or NMM. Just pick the one you feel comfortable with and use it right. There are plenty of guides about how to use each feature of every mod manager, with pictures and even videos. 2. Don't forget to run the usual tools before you start to play. Applies to FNIS (for animation related mods), LOOT (to get a functional loadorder), Bodyslide (if you want to change the shape of fem bodies and/or outfits). You should only do it once and then have a solid mod setup for a whole playthrough of the game, but if you add/remove/change something its better to run those tools again to check if everything is in order (FNIS especially, or else you'll get the infamous T-pose bug). 3. Always check you download mods made for Skyrim SE or mods that have been already ported (remember, 2nd link is a good source to check for this). Some mods may work just fine, others may give you minor issues, others can make it impossible for you to play with these mods installed. 4. Disable automatic updates from Steam. That's 1 way to do it, you can also set Steam updates only when you launch the game and launch it through the skse loader (as you always should) and Steam shouldn't update your game before you want to. Why would you want to stop automatic updates? because everytime the game updates, SKSE needs to be updated and some mods relying on SKSE must be updated too. Until SKSE and those mods are updated you won't be able to play. Here is more info about what happens when the game updates.
