New to modding, need help with 1.5.80 SSE

I'm trying to run 1.5.80 SSE with 2.0.16 so I can use HDT-SMP but whenever I run SKSE, it just crashes, however, the normal launcher works just fine. Can I get any help? Also getting a message saying that 1.5.80 HDT physics and framework are having an error and not loading.

For starters you are in the wrong section. This is the LE section, SE has its own.
