I know I'm late but I've been experimenting with model editing for the modern Pokemon games recently and I think I found a proper way to fix these models that have lines across the body so you don't need to use the outlines removal mod. Technical talk warning that's only useful for modders though.

It's related to two things: visual groups and seams.

 

Visual groups can be handy to distinguish different parts of the same model and to have that certain part use its own material.

Visual groups can also be used to hide certain parts of the model to prevent clipping with another model.

For example, your character's socks don't render in full depending on how much their shoes cover their feet. Even if you import invisible shoes models, parts of your character's socks still don't get rendered because it's programmed to hide depending on what shoes you use regardless of the shoes' mesh.

So if you were to import invisible shoes and want your character to only wear socks, you need to move the socks' meshes from "hideB" and "hideC" visual groups (objects in Blender) by merging them with "hideA".

 

So how can visual groups be related to outlines? I've edited the "naked-girl" model by replacing the forearms with the original ones from Simple Shirt Dress and I noticed that even though I merged these two separate models together as one object on Blender, Switch-Toolbox still considered them two separate visual groups upon importing it.

 

 

Noticed how only the forearm is selected for one of the visual groups? That's the original forearm of the Simple Shirt Dress model. I was wondering if replacing the modded forearm with the vanilla one could fix the outline problem on the wrist, but it turns out that it might be related to the visual groups instead, not the model or materials.

Even if both visual groups use the same skin material, there'll be a outline between the forearms and the rest of the body but there's no longer outlines across the wrist.

 

 

So maybe, if the rest of the body is somehow part of that vanilla visual group instead of its own, then that could fix the outlines issue.

 

If an edited model have visible seams, that would either cause outlines across the model or the seam itself would be noticeable with outlines disabled.

According to this video. It's about how these models need to have their normals smoothened between the seams or something like that.

 

In Blender, this can be done by:

- Importing all the edited models (torso and legs, also include the vanilla bare hands)

- In Object Mode, duplicate all these models/objects (Shift + D and Enter)

- Have the duplicated objects joined together as one object (Ctrl + J)

- In Edit Mode, select all the object's vertices (Press A)

- Merge the vertices by distance (Press M -> By Distance)

This is how you can a make a seamless full body which can be useful for full body models like the cyclist outfit.

 

Now you need to transfer the normal data to the individual objects:

- Hide the merged full object so you can see the individual objects

- For each object, go to its Modifiers properties

- Add Modifier -> Edit -> Data Transfer

- Set the source to the merged body object

- Check "Face Corner Data" and select "Custom Normals"

- Make sure that in the Object's Data Properties, in the Normals section, "Auto Smooth" is enabled

- Apply the Data Transfer modifier and the object will be ready to be exported

- Repeat this process for the other objects

 

If done correctly, your model would appear to be seamless which can reduce outlines if it's enabled.

 

Blender: Merged Model (Left - Seam, Right - Seamless)

 

Blender: Separated Model (Left - Seam, Right - Seamless)

 

In-game: (Left - Seam, Middle - Seamless, Right - Seamless with Outlines)

 

By fixing the seam, the outline across the thighs appears to be gone while the shading below the buttocks is now properly seamless.

Unfortunately, this isn't guarantee to hide the outline completely (or maybe it's something else) and I'm not sure exactly how this could be further reduced.

 

 

For now, I'll upload my edit of the "naked-girl" mod with fixed seams and I still recommend you use a mod that disables outlines.

I've also fixed a crashing issue for the file that came with the original mod that removes the wristbands for the latest version (1.3.2) of the game.

My files only replace the default outfit of the female character so that would be:

- Knitted Parka (p2_out0004_00_woolPerker) <- Since it's outerwear, you could just remove this file if you want this clothing to still be visible

- Simple Shirt Dress (p2_drs0000_00_miniDress)

- Plaid Socks (p2_lgw0008_00_originalsocks)

- Ankle Boots (p2_ftw0002_00_laceUpBoots)

- Leather-Trimmed Bag (p2_bag0005_00_leatherruck) <- Remove this if you want your character to still carry a bag

If you want to keep the wristbands, remove "resident_chara_nx64.gfpak"

I would like to delete the big boobs mod on gloria because it interferes with a lot of clothing and it kinda doesn't look good, I like the regular naked body

Well, you'll also need to know how to properly add the mods to the game, but yeah, basically.

I'd also advise downloading the nude reactions dialogue mod by Catnatic to add to your playthrough, as well as the "naked girl fixed" mod above.

You might want to have a read at it because there is a quirk with the mod at the beginning of the game.

There's also a blush mod too, to give the impression that your character knows she's naked.

The mod was originally created by a user named vlondo few years ago but it only covered up until the Grass Gym in Turffield. However, it was updated fairly recently by another person going by Scoringbunny that extends the mod to Hammerlocke and even the beginning of The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra DLCs.

Both genders are also supported even though only nude female mods exist currently.

 

This mod is going with the narrative that Gloria is averse to wearing clothes and consequently known to be a nudist in her hometown since she was little.

 

 

The mod is also going with the narrative that public indecency laws were coincidentally repealed to explain why she's allowed to be naked everywhere.

 

I should note that the mod was made to complement another nude female mod from that same aforementioned site that replaced other clothes and not the default outfit that your character starts with. If anyone wishes to start the game with this dialogue mod and wants to use my fixed version of "naked-girl" that hides/replace the default clothing, I suggest you don't use my mod at the very start until you get your bag because Hop and your mother will point out that you're apparently dressed as it was meant to get around the quirk of the other nude mod not changing the starting outfit.

 

 

Here's an extra, the person who updated the dialogue mod also made a blushing mod for Gloria. Since it only affects her face texture, you can use any nude mod with it:

Basically, the mod will soon cover the entire badge collecting part of the game's story. But for now, it's up until the 5th Badge.

I definitely will be downloading this later. It's just been so fun reading. I just beat the first gym, and at the rate I'm going, once I get to gym 5, maybe the mod will get updated again.

 

I still need to go back and do everything from the start up to when I got to the wild area, since I didn't apply the mod until then. Anyone know if I can use pkhex to save my original save, reset the game, and then go back to my original save after getting to the wild area?

Because the nude mod tweaked the proportions of the character which is why the boobs clips through clothing when she's supposed to be flat-chested or tiny-breasted. Although there is a technique within the game that hides parts of the body depending on which clothing is worn, but these mods don't take advantage of that even though it's actually easy. The nude mods also use their own textures which is why it doesn't match the pinker tone of the vanilla body as seen in the socks models having their own bare legs (which needs to be modded to hide the legs so it doesn't overlap with the nude mod's leg mesh).

The "naked-girl" and "nakedgloria" models do have 3D nipples but it's subtle in-game since they're not pointy.

Viewier, the person you're quoting/replying to, didn't make either of the two models.

I don't know who did or what they used, but I did use Blender for my fixed version of "naked-girl" that reduces its seam.

 

 

Anyway, I'm going to be yapping about the differences between the nude models so to anyone who's reading this, be prepared.

I'm not a fan of how the "naked-girl" breasts are shaped. Even for tiny breasts, I don't think that's how they should look anatomically.

The "nakedgloria" version looks better but the shape is still not quite right.

If you've seen the other Pokemon thread, someone did a much better job of shaping the breasts in varying sizes in my opinion.

 

Also, I find it pretty interesting that all the nude models for Gloria use the same texture and physique.

This even includes the flat-chested version, labeled "NSFWtrainer", that's available elsewhere.

"naked-girl" model's only difference is that the nipples are different.

"nakedgloria" and "NSFWtrainer" models have the same nipples so either one of them is based on another with the difference being breast size.

Yet none of them actually matches the exact physique and texture that Gloria's canonical model has (which can be seen with clothing that bares her midriff.

The vanilla model has a slightly thicker waist, darker and narrow belly button, collarbone is different and darker, and the upper neck has a shadow from the head.

I have no problem with the nude models not being completely accurate, I just thought this piece of trivia is interesting and worth sharing.

 

As for the legs though, "naked-girl" and "nakedgloria" matches the vanilla legs (albeit with a different texture) while "NSFWtrainer" is slightly thinner.

For feet, "nakedgloria" uses the same blob feet model from the vanilla model. Other nude mods each have their own detailed feet models.

For the arse, "naked-girl" has a butt of a mannequin (but has a visible butthole beneath it). The other nude models have their asses more defined.

 

Each nude model's pussy is different too.

"naked-girl" is shaped to be simplified with a texture to make it look detailed.

"nakedgloria" only has a modelled slit on the front, it doesn't go all the way beneath.

"NSFWtrainer" actually has a fully modelled vulva.

 

I think that about covers the difference between the models. You can use Switch-Toolbox to see the visual differences yourself.

I have been looking every for the nakedgloria and NSFWtrainer mods, where can I find them? I getting close to giving up. Any help finding/getting them would be very appreciated.
