Dialogue rushing by?

So I'm testing some stuff in NV, and it seems like my dialogue subtitles are suddenly starting to rush by a little too fast. Which is odd, because I never used to have this problem with other non-voice-acted, mod-added dialogue. Note: I'm not saying it's over in half a second, just that I could do with 5-10 secs more, especially on longer lines.

Anybody know what could be going on? Maybe some setting I can tweak? Tried looking on Beth & Nexus forums but nothing jumped out.

You mean Elys Universal Silent Voice? Yeah, that popped into my mind - but its functionality is a mix of obse & dll stuff, can't figure that out.

I tried adding a piece of silence to a line through the "select TESSound" button but that just makes it worse (mp3 like the radio stuff, might still give wav or ogg a go).

The alternative would be supplying silent voice files, but because the geck never lets you assign a voice file directly, but tells you what & where it needs to be, I'd easily be lookin' at a thousand silent mp3 files to add instead of just one or two that I can recycle...

Alternatively, you can just avoid big individual lines and settle for more, but shorter ones.

Replaying the game recently, I noticed no lines seemed to be bigger than a line and a half, whereas quite a few modders make them as big as three lines, which becomes rushed very quickly.

Hm, well, they're not all long. Just... quite a few, depending on the flow of the conversation, I guess. In many places, breaking it up just wouldn't feel right.

I'll probably end up having to go with loads of silent voice files anyway, and I'm definitely dreading that kind of work...

Well, seems like I've found some sort of a solution & still keep some of my longer lines. Using the "select TESSound" button to point to a longer-timed piece of silence does work if it points to a mono wav in your fx folder.

Edit: although it messes with the animations I pick in convo...
