DerpedPerd
I've read & heard that you shouldn't place the mods & packages too deep into some sub-folders... but having a bit of an OCD issue, can i just place them in a way like: \Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods\*named animator folder*\packages&scripts such like for clothings into 1 folder, anims in another, & game enhancements in the other, but all in "Mods" folder or do i have to just throw them all into Mods unorganized? And will the mods work if i put all the scripts & packages into 1 sub-folder or do the need their own space? Link to comment
procian
Script files can be no more than 1 folder deep.....documents/electronic arts/the sims 4/mods/scripts or whatever you call it...... Link to comment

Not a good idea and creates quite a mess later on if your trying to find a bad mod. I have WW and all Animations in a folder called Electronic Arts/Mods/Wicked (1 deep) Do the same thing for Basemental, MCCC, Nisa's WP, etc. But clothing can be, for example: Mods/Clothing/Female/Underwear 1 Link to comment

Sorry for late reply my internet was down for 7 days. I usually just put skins/overlays 1 folder deep but I doubt it matters. The only ones I know of that have that rule are script files + the other files that come with it. 1 Link to comment
modella
I separate my mods based on their category. Skins/Overlays, Animations, WW, Clothes, etc. The only folder that I have that goes more than 1 folder deep is clothes but even those end up showing up. 1 Link to comment
