Ageing and lifespan

Recommended Posts

I tend to play with ageing off then on the occasions I play families manually age with birthdays but its kind of stale or a massive pain in the ass.

I use MCCC so I've been thinking of possibly customising the lifespans to deargawditslong mode.  A couple of things, first, I'm nosy so how do you all play it?  On/Off, Short/Long etc.

Second, anyone want to take a look at the numbers I've whipped up?  I could use some feedback, the main issue being I want seasons to match up and 7 day seasons feels far too fast.

Thoughts?  Feedback?

Side note, obviously dog breads vary in gestation more than you see with cats so I just took averages of 63 days.

Well, i already did that kind of things, but with shorter life (like 200 days at the end). Thats far too much for a normal gameplay here imo, but why not.

Yeah. it'd be a bit too long I think, though I guess it could be useful for RP reasons in that you could very closely tie the age of a sim in sim days to the age they are supposed to be in years.

I guess one thing I'd note here is that if I were to put in something like this I'd probably set the teen stage to be shorter and be from 13 to 18 instead of 'till 21, because it's pretty heavily tied into high school and such, so it makes sense to mark this as the beginning of the YA stage in my opinon. Also I'd maybe set the young adult stage to end in the mid-30s instead of at 30, though the adult stage is probably long enough as it is.
