A Mysterious Tattoo

I am rapidly approaching the end of my rope with this, and could desperately use some insight. A while ago, I noticed that some of my favorite sims suddenly (and inexplicably) acquired a certain tattoo. A tattoo that I can't get rid of, because according to CAS they don't actually have it. ~_~

 

This here is the dastardly design:

At first, I thought that this was part of Nisa's Wicked Perversions. Apparently not, because even after removing that mod from the game, the tattoo still appears... both in the Tattoo section of CAS, and on my sims. I don't have much chance of getting rid of this thing without knowing which mod it comes from, so I'm hoping someone else can tell me.

 

It is important to note that I can't de-select this tattoo in CAS. The box for it is not highlighted, and if I click on it the tattoo just turns darker -- as if an identical tattoo is being applied directly over top of it.

 

Additional information: I'm pretty light on mods, other than all the usual lewd mods. The big ones running are MCCC, Wicked Whims, Kinky & Pets, Basemental Drugs and Nisa's Perversions.

 

Edit: Okay so, I just tested this by removing my entire mods folder and then loading the household in CAS. Apparently this tattoo is actually part of the base game. On the one hand, I guess this means that its not a mod problem. On the other hand, how the hell am I supposed to remove this thing? ~_~ If anyone has an idea, please help!

Ok....did it just show up? have you tried changing skin colour or body type in cas? do you have realm of magic? is it something to do with that?

Ok...this is working ok for me.....just noticed the nipple colour....what cc is that?....try removing the nipple colour....

Since it isn't coming from a bad mod, you can just deselet it in CAS.  See picture.

Says they can't remove it though I experimented and it works for me.....possible skin tone or skin overlay doing this I wonder or the nipple tattoo,if it's the one I think it is......oh and how on earth does that sim not topple over

I tried changing both the skin tone and removing the nipple "tattoo". Neither of them got rid of the tattoo. x.x

 

And you're correct. This tattoo is not... normal. I have the tattoo in the CAS section for tattoos, but it is not active on the sims in question (that is, the box is not selected). Giving them other tattoos, even tattoos which would normally conflict with it (since you can only have one tattoo for each body part), also doesn't get rid of it. It's as if this thing has somehow become a part of the base texture for the sim's skin, except its only happened to a few of them.

 

If I "clone" them in CAS (Make an identical sim) the tattoo is not present on the new one. I don't get it, and its frustrating. ;_;

 

Edit: I first noticed this problem before Realm of Magic was released. I don't know if it was there before Island Living, but I believe that it was.

Ok...try repairing the game via origin.....delete localthumbcache.pkg file to when you've done this and see how it goes....like I say I can add and remove this tattoo with no problem......

I'll try the repair. Clearly the problem here goes deeper than a malfunctioning tattoo... these sims never had the tattoo, after all. So it's not just a matter of its button not working in CAS.

 

Edit: Repairing the installation did not help. x.x

Ok....then you sim is borked out.....try saving her to your gallery then start a new game and put her in a cheap house....then go into cas and see if that works...

That won't work. :x I've already started a new game since this started, and the sims are saved in my gallery. It's very frustrating; I can see in that screenshot of the household that she doesn't have the tattoo there, but as soon as they're in CAS... there it is.

He said he moved everything out of his mod folder and the tattoo was still there.  That eliminates all CC.

 

Look at the picture, she is a vampire.  Vampiric strength 3/3.

 

If the problem only happens on a few Sims and not all of them, it could be a corrupt save or corrupt Sims.  I've had my share of corrupt save games over the years.

 

If shar181 wants to use Sims 4 Tray Importer and export the Sim, we'd be happy to take a look at it.

Download Sims 4 Tray Importer and Export the Sim to a file (Export with CC) and attach it here.

I've never used that program, but I will give it a try!

 

Edit: On second thought, that program seems a little sketchy so I'm not going to give it a try. ^^;

If you think that I would direct you to use a sketchy program you haven't been paying attention.  Your problem is most likely a corrupt Sim unless the problem is widespread.

I had this same issue a few patches back, the only way I got rid of it was to remove ALL Skin details in cas by clicking the "x" on the icon for ALL skin details, would not show in any of the sub categories. Tracked it down to the patch and the last update to

Something crossed numbers and the details gave a tattoo instead of the detail I had picked on older sims, but could not determine which one exactly because none of the sub categories showed the culprit(s), only when clicking the "x" on the main skin details did it disappear.

Oh goodness, thank you so much! ^_^!

 

I never thought of trying to remove skin details, but that worked perfectly. Even better, its super easy to redo skin details as needed. Now my favorite sims can start lewding their way through my new game~ :3
