Furlow69 Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 So I got a lot of mods running now and it seems that many weapons and armors are invisible or using another item's textures. One such mod was from the Atom Cats to make them a functioning settlement after do their quest. I think it added a bunch of tops and skirts, but they are all invisible... If I attempt to touch them in crafting, the whole game will lock up hard core to point having reboot. Script extender is installed and I do have Armor and weapon keyword mod installed. Can anyone assist, would be nice to have these outfits showing, even if is rather funny being butt naked with some them. Also, some weapons like the Buzz Axe Seems to have broken animation, I go into T-pose when attacking with it in 3rd person.
Blaze69 Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 IIRC "Using other item's textures" happens when the game can't find the corresponding material file listed in the Nif but it tries to load leftover texture paths left in the data itself; for example I've seen many custom weapon mods that had leftover paths to vanilla weapon textures (e.g. custom pistols load vanilla 10mm textures if the game can't find their material files). That, coupled with the other items being missing/invisible and with the other issue you posted about would lead me to believe your game is having serious issues with loading all the files it should. You mentioned you were using MO2 in the other thread. Are you absolutely sure it's properly installed and configured? Is the game/Steam library installed outside the "Program Files" folder? Is your "ModOrganizer" folder outside of the Fallout4 game folder (i.e. is "Fallout4.exe" NOT in the same place as the "ModOrganizer" folder)? Otherwise, have you tried installing the mods manually into the game's Data folder? Obviously this defeats the purpose of MO2, but if doing that causes the files to load, that would mean the issue is with your MO2 install and not with the game itself (which in turn would make it easier to tell what's going on).

It's very possible mod Organizer wasn't working properly. I swapped out to Vortex and suddenly CBBE began to function propperly and Bodyslide works now as well. However, the invisible weapons/armors ect mentioned in this thread are still happening. I had been installing ModOrganizer on alternate drive, but I tried it being installed on same drive and still seemed have the issues.
