I wanna know the process behind what it takes to do what CooneyBoy did to these mods. It's a shame that he's MIA and hasn't come back so that I could ask him personally... I know that it has something to do with outfit studio, I just need a quick and easy guide on how to do it. Any links or even better, a step by step guide would be greatly appreciated, thanks

You're in luck, there is just such a step by step guide and a video within the Clams of Skyirm mod thread here on LL.  This is essentially the same process as converting just about any mod to work with "your favorite body", if one does not exist.

In doing this myself for quite a few mods for my own game, I have found the CBBE and COS more or less share the same base shape.  There are minor differences, but they are negligible.  Most clothing/armor I have converted was a <5min process and look/behave great in game.

I've had success with this process (as explained in the COS mod thread and the related video), but you need to do one piece at a time.  Is there a way to automate / batch build the entire Remodeled armor set, for example, using the latest Cosio 5.7 release?  Thanks!

Yes and no, but mostly no.  If the new COS release was not a mesh or weighting change and only a change related to the physics xml, then no rebuilding is necessary - simply update the necessary files from the new version and you're good to go.  I am fairly sure most of the outfits were built with the 5.4 version, some later with the 5.5 - but none with 5.6 and 5.7, as yet.

Since the outfits have already been built, reshaped and tweaked manually, the meshes are in good shape for reweighting.  There is unfortunately no batch process to reweight the meshes, they must be done one at a time.  Many of the individual meshes were "auto" weighted, in that the weighting applied via Outfit Studio "copy weights" was good and didn't need manual painting - they a fair number of odd pieces for individual mods did.

I suspected that was the answer...  I'll keep chugging at the pieces I like most.  Thanks  for the confirmation!  Stay safe.

If you are feeling up to it and get the right permissions then please post your conversions. I am trying to convert stuff but I'm not very good at it lol.
