ChancellorKremlin Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Yeah OK, pretty generic question, but I do have a list (getting shorter now) of games which have been forgotten, and not touched since the 90/s.  Originally, this list consisted of some of my favourite games, such as...  - X-COM - Bioforge - Duke Nukem - Blood - Bioforge - Unreal   Obviously, they have recently redone X-COM (pleasantly, I might add!) and Duke Nukem (not so pleasantly) but they have done it. That leaves me with...  - Unreal - Shogo - Blood - Bioforge  And what can I say? Unreal was fucking awesome. I loved it, it defined the next gen games pretty much as Doom did for everything else. Shogo was a great example of technical perfection, sadly only to be shadowed entirely by Half Life, in itself a perfect game. But Shogo was the perfect mix between FPS, storytelling, drama and a good execution. Bioforge, on the other hand, was way older but oh so satisfying. Very well written, put together and executed, even if the screen angles got a bit dodgy at times. As for Blood, I've never seen such a hilarious game, since. FPS humour at its best. Think "classic doom" only better. Wish it were revisited, in all its ridiculous and gory humour.  Any other contenders? Feel free to post!

gregathit Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 You guys have pretty much covered most of the bases for the games I enjoyed. Others I liked were: 1. Redneck Rampage - hands down the funniest game I ever played 2. Command & Conquer - I was hooked from the 1st second of playing 3. Warcraft: Orcs & Humans (another one that had me hooked 4. Dune II - I have always been a Dune fan 5. Total Annihilation - perhaps the greatest RTS game ever made 6. Warzone 2100 - most missed this game, it really was an RTS gamers wet dream 7. Machines - another RTS title that went largely unnoticed - while parts of it were a bit silly it had the most realist nukes of any game I have seen before or since on the market 8. Myth 1 and 2 - both great games and lots of fun. 9. KKND 1 and 2 - who can possibly forget these fun games....? (well if you were alive and not in diapers anyways) 10. Darkreign - I liked this one. It kept me entertained for a while 11. Z (by bitmap brothers) - another classic RTS game. Â There are many more that I could list but that is a good start....
Menesh Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Anyone remember a game called Constructor? Building houses, dealing with (unreasonable) complaints from your tenants and putting the competition out of business by stealing their houses, beating up their workers and sending some weird characters (like biker gangs, hippies, deadly clowns and the infamous Mr. Fixit) their way. That game was a lot of fun.
Strelky Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 2. Command & conquer  Fuck, how could I forget c&c. I feel ashamed
nonusnomeni Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Panzer General 1,2 Dune 1,2 XCOM 1,2 Machiavelli Prince Colonization
Spell Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 3. Warcraft: Orcs & Humans 9. KKND 2 10. Darkreign 11. Z Drakan - Order of the Flame Dungeon Keeper (1) Thief - The Dark Project Return to Castle Wolfenstein (not from the 90's) Heretic Hexen
