Odd Face Discoloration

Recommended Posts

Hello all.

So as you can see (image in spoiler tags), this fella's face is a sickly, pasty green color. Like when you're about to pass out or something. While the rest of him look like a normal color.

Went to the mod's page, but the author said he is no longer working on the mod, so that's a dead-end.

This is Sky Casino, by the way. Most of the NPCs are discolored this way.

Moved the load order around a bit, thinking maybe the body replacer needed to come after, but it didn't fix anything.

It's not the end of the world, but it's definitely distracting, so I was hoping it was something I can fix. None of the other NPCs added by mods do this, so I think this is a problem with this mod in particular.

Anyways, thanks for any help. Cheers.

If you have the original mod'z zip file, open it and find where the body/head/hand textures are stored.  Overwrite them with your default male textures.

If you don't have the original zip, you can open the esp file in SSEedit and look for any texture records.  You should find the path to the textures there.

Move the mod to the end of your load order and make sure the esp loads last and see if that helps (it really should)

What is Sky Casino? Most of which NPCs? What other mods?

There are no npc facegen textures in the download for that mod so to fix it you need to load it into ck and rebuild all of the npcs facegen data or dig through that mod discussion and see if there was an alternate d/l for them but that is very old  mod so good luck.

you using an npc overhaul mod make sure nothing overwrites it. what mod manager do you use ?

I'm using Mod Manager. I have only female body replacers; my males are vanilla.

I have Inconsequential NPCs and More Interesting NPCs added as well, and they are all perfectly fine.

Yeah ... I saw that. And I saw that the thread was super long. They also say that they aren't providing any more work on the mod, so I figured I'm out of luck, but was hopeful that someone knew a fix.

I'm not really familiar with creation kit at all.

For future reference, you are either using Nexus Mod Manger (NMM) or Mod Organiser (MO). Both are 'mod managers'. ?

I don't know about Inconsequential NPCs but I know that Interesting NPCs has its own bodies and textures so they will not be affected by whatever Sky Casino is doing or not doing.

Is that guy a vanilla NPC or one from Sky Casino?

If he is vanilla I suppose you could try installing a male overhaul mod and let it overwrite what Sky Casino has done or not done. If he is from Sky Casino my advice would be to get rid of it and maybe find another gambling mod or whatever it is.
