Ark - Survival Evolved - Mods

I have been working to get mods to install manually instead of having to depend on workshop. Has anyone figured out how to just copy them and have them work?

Go to steam and tick the mods you want then let them install. Next find the files that are for the mods you installed and copy them and zip/rar them up and uninstall them. Now you can install the mod however you want without having to have them installed through steam.

Something is not working right here. Since I have two computers, I put steam ark on both. One I subscribed the mod here, zipped, copied, and pasted into the other ark on second computer, and they are not showing up on the mod list. It is completely blank. 

 

Hopefully someone here will at least know what the problem is and have a solution.
