Spideyknight Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Before cbbe 3.2, it was really preference but the new cbbe is just too good. Plus caliente is cool and constantly updates. The latest unp changes are done by calyps. So I choose to support the more active modder. Just my take on things. Use the Sakura skin on cbbe3.2 its been updated and is awesome.

Firely Posted December 18, 2012 Author Posted December 18, 2012 Looks like this is the best i can do without ENB. CBBEv3 Main CBBEv3M Body Replacer Natural Eyes Basvanbeu Nuscle Texture Female removed -> Detailed Faces
Spideyknight Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 It might for you because you are installing an older and inferior mesh on top of the new one. Just install 3.2. If you want the M body type use the preset in the body slide and save it. Now you have the M type with the new mesh. Caliente's own face pack is pretty good, but I use the all in one with dawn guard face pack over it and it works like a charm. If you like glitter and makeup then you can put Bella's or cover woman in the middle. But honestly that setup with Sakura's skin looks really nice.
Guest Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 UNP doesn't get any more updates because Dimon thinks it's perfect the way it is right now, just sayin'. Now back to the actual topic: The UNP version you're using in your screenshots has a messed up normal map which makes the whole skin look blocky and just ugly. All in all it's about body preference I guess but if you want to use unp I'd suggest http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19666 (way better skin texture imo) http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20530 (way better normal maps and the CBBE compatible version allows you to use CBBE face textures) Oh yea just before I forget it what about UNPB? http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14899
venomg3 Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 UNPB for sure is the best of both worlds as for skin a majority of both CBBE and UNP use fair skin + some face thats compatible with it or they use navetsea it really just come downs to shape and armors and thats total preference
Guest Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Hm yeah I used CBBE every now and then for a specific armor I liked but it never really took long before I went back to UNP and now UNPB (I somehow just don't like the shape of CBBE, don't ask me why cause I don't really know it myself). At first I was a bit sceptical about UNPB because of the few available armors and the fact that I'm normally not that much of a "huge breasts" lover but I gave it a chance and been using it for 4 months now and will probably never use another body. Since I learned some 3ds max, nifskope and gimp basics I pretty much always use mashups I made myself which also means I never have to switch to another body type again.
Spideyknight Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 The popularity of unpb shows that a vast number of people don't share his opinion. That's why I support cbbe. One, no one has a convincing argument that it is inferior to unp. "It's better." Is about all you get, and that just isn't enough for me. Two, caliente just seems to be a much friendlier person. He does his best to make something everyone can enjoy and that's no easy feat. It's something many don't even try for as appeasing everyone is impossible. The body slide, updates, etc... Something about that I appreciate more. I know Dimon may view his stuff as perfect and fair enough, there are also many who will say his is the more realistic proportioned body. I think torpedo tits disproves that assertion, but to each their own. He strikes me as one of those "artistic integrity" types though and after the disappointment of me3 and the fiasco that followed I'm just done with that mindset.
Jexsam Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 One' date=' no one has a convincing argument that it is inferior to unp.[/quote'] Probably because at the heart of that argument is a matter of taste. If you like CBBE over UNP, no amount of factual argument will sway you. I mean, I could sit here and tell you that UNP has a better body mesh, a more realistic shape, better support from non-shitty skimpy armor makers and non-shitty armor makers in general. I could regale you with tales of how in the early days, CBBE was virtually ignored by all the big-name armor creators from Oblivion. But you wouldn't care about any of that, would you? You like CBBE, so it's rather pointless. As for the popularity of UNPB, all it really shows is that people wanted a larger-breasted body that wasn't shitty CBBE. Otherwise they'd've just used CBBE...
bjornk Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 Probably because at the heart of that argument is a matter of taste. Exactly, and the people who like UNP have more refined tastes than others.
Guest Posted December 19, 2012 Posted December 19, 2012 The whole "UNP is soooooooo much better than CBBE" or the other way round argument is pretty pointless. Yes it is better if you want it to be better. I would never switch from UNPB to CBBE but I definitely appreciate Caliente's body mod and the work she put into it, I just prefer UNPB. And I think with "the popularity of UNPB" he meant that it actually isn't that popular. How he got to that conclusion? Maybe looking for UNPB armor mods or endorsements/downloads and comparing them to how many CBBE has but obviously ignoring the fact that 1. UNPB isn't as old as UNP and CBBE and 2. most armor creators are already stuck with either UNP or CBBE (like alot of normal mod users because of their massive armor support) because those were the first 2 (completely different) major body mods and still are.
Firely Posted December 20, 2012 Author Posted December 20, 2012 Well UNPB is not bad at all, i like that it is dirty but what with the niples ?
wurst Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 there is something wrong with your texture, it' shouldn't look like this it should look more like this
Firely Posted December 20, 2012 Author Posted December 20, 2012 there is something wrong with your texture' date=' it' shouldn't look like this it should look more like this Well, mine got no extra muscle texture and no EMB.
Shonen Bato Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 My char with UNPB Body and LFF Lore-Friendly Females realistic textures I use an ENB config with both Detailed Shadow and SSAO enabled @Firely You have to install an adapted texture for UNP body (all are UNPB compatible) Sorry for my english...
Jormungandr Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I never really got behind those UNP/CBBE crusaders' minds. I'm using CBBE because i don't like the matchstick legs UNP has. Not a fan of big melons myself so it's CBBE not CBBHSB or hatever it's named. Infact, does that thread make any sense at all? O_o
Jehuty599 Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 I started out using UNP and thought it was great, It never crossed my mind to use anything else. On my second playthrough I switched to CBBEv3M, because I thought my character being half feline should have wider hips and stronger legs. Now I can't go back...LOL, I tried switching back to UNP, and UNPB because I liked some of the armors that the body has, but I just can't, I immediately switch back to CBBEv3M...my characters all look way to skinny using UNP. I don't think one is really any better than the another, it's all just personal preference. Although UNP does have some proportions that just don't look right. From the front and behind everything looks great, however from the sides the upper leg area is to skinny, and something doesn't look right with the bottom of the breasts from the side angle, could just be me though.
Spideyknight Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 UNPB is extremely popular. I have no idea where you've been looking. Not sure how you got the complete opposite of that from my posts. No need for debate when only anecdotal evidence is given. Nothing factual or relevant about any of that. No, I just want to point out one thing. Scroll up, see the posts from the unp users? See the hostility and aggressiveness? Contrast that with the cbbe users. People confident in themselves, and their decisions, don't feel the need to defend themselves with thinly veiled sarcasm and language dripping with venom. So I salute you gentlemen, for clearly the hallmark of superior taste is refined sensibilities, and bid you good day.
Etc Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Scroll up' date=' see the posts from the unp users? See the hostility and aggressiveness? Contrast that with the cbbe users. [/quote'] In general, any and every body users has gotten heated over their "superior" choice. Especially in the "CBBE vs. UNP thread. They are just body mods, no reason to get snippy with anyone. Want to see aggressive? Get into an argument with someone who uses ADEC and swears by it. That gets pretty funny. All this comes down to is "my tastes are better than yours." And they aren't, this is strictly a matter of personal preference. That's why we have so many body mods in the first place, because someone looked at the vanilla body model and said "I don't like this." And the rest is history.
Occultdrake Posted December 21, 2012 Posted December 21, 2012 Well i figure i'll add my 2 cents to this discussion and say that, while yes i'm currently a CBBE fan, i have tried almost all of the body replacer mods, with the exception of the ADEC and Lady Body mods. Each of them were well done i think but i just didn't like things about the others, mainly the armor retextures for the unp/unpb bodies and the fact that they do appear to be a bit too skinny for my personal tastes and the chsbcs body is just kind of a ridiculously to big body and not just the boobs the whole thing seemed to "thick" to me the cbbe body is more to my liking and i think it is well proportioned, but keep in mind these are MY opinions. The authors of all of them did an excellent job with their respective mods and the authors of the armor mods did an awesome job as well. It really, honestly boils down to your personal preference with these female body replacers. In my opinion no one body replacer is any better than another, its all in your mind which you prefer.
Firely Posted December 22, 2012 Author Posted December 22, 2012 It seems like it is way harder to make UNP look good, and even if you manage it you most likely going to have to deal with some horrible seams. There some more tests, no EMB as usual. Just UNPB and LFF.
kuromahou Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 My favorites are UNP or UNPB (I like UNPB at skinniest setting so you get the slimmest body like UNP 0 but with slightly larger chest) along with UNP Delicate and Fair Skin. For faces pretty face or univision with rans type D headmesh. I still use stock UNP tho until a good full stock armor replacer comes out for unpb. I really love MAK07's stock armor meshes and they are only UNP meshes for them atm. This is unp with fair skin and delicate 4.1, I turned off my enb for comparisons sake, but it looks crazy good with my enb on (matso kyo variant). My shadows suck as my vid card is dated, luckily my enb smoothes them out when its on Edit: Oh yeah on the subject of neck seams, if you use fair skin, it includes face patches for most face mods which I find match much better than most standard matches without it. So you install unp, then fair skin, then your face mod, then your fair skin face mod patch, overwriting in that order. Delicate can get dropped in anywhere after stock unp as it only overwrites stuff from unp base, no need for the unp 1.51 patch if you use delicate either as it overwrites the same files. So far I have not found a way to make neck seams completely non-existant no matter what I do though.
Guest Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 Yup with a certain lighting you can still see the seam but Fair Skin does a pretty good job at hiding it. Oh wait I forgot something. Since I'm a UNP user I have to make an agressive comment containing sarcasm and words dripping with venom so... Scroll up' date=' see the posts from the unp users?
