Help With Adding HDT BBB To Follower

Recommended Posts

Posted

I’m using this follower mod HERE and I love it.  The problem, no HDT BBB physics.  I’ve seen some tutorials on how to add it but I’ve never got it to work.  Is there an up to date or known working tutorial for this. I think the body is UUNP but I’m not real sure.  There are other followers I’d like to do this to also. Any help would be appreciated.

just copy female body  0 and 1, hands and feet from C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\Meshes\actors\character\character assets)  and paste into the meshes Urielle folder, which should be located in C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\Meshes\actors\character), to make sure textures match, do the same from C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\textures\actors\character\female) to the C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\textures\actors\character) Urielle folder. I do this to all custom or stand alone followers. all this does is give them the HDT body from your main file as long as you have hdt set up for the female player character

This Bazingas HDT file

Monsto's guide

if you have not read this tutorial or need to set up hdt for your game

Thank you very much for your quick and detailed reply.  Here is my problem this should have been in my previous post.  I use CBBE for my character body. There is no Meshes directory in Data.  I do have the meshes in the CBBE directory. Should I use that? If so, would that change the body size of the follower and cause the ever so hated mismatched head body color?

I assume you're using Bodyslide and Outfit Studio?

Copy the femalehand_0.nif and femalehand_1 nifs from the CBBE directory and place them in the followers folder, overwrite the old when prompted. Grab the femalebody_0.nif, femalebody_1.nif, femalefeet_0.nif and femalefeet_1.nif from the Bodyslide directory and overwrite the files in the follower meshes the same way.

Now you need to replace the followers textures. Copy those from the skin mod you are using ( if you're using default CBBE you'll want those, Fairskin would be in your Fairskin mod, Leyenda would be in Leyenda, ect ) and overwrite the followers skin textures with them.

You're done.

If he/she uses MO, there won't be. Context clues.

I realise that about MO but how does that help the OP drop anything in the follower meshes (and textures)? My point is that if the OP is using MO and doesn't understand why there is no folder in Data then the OP will need a path.

OP figured out how to access individual mod folders when he found the meshes in the CBBE directory.

It's the same procedure.

:) Then why was the OP baffled by the absence of the Meshes folder?

Probably because they didn't know and/or never had to access individual folders before. Maybe they are new to modding and/or MO. Add to that flutie told him/her to look for it there. And then in a follow-up post you told him/her that it should be there.

Regardless, he/her found out how to access individual mod folders when they located it inside the CBBE folder. As I said; It's the same procedure.
