Vyxenne Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 I have been using the same version of SSEEdit for a couple of years, and had at one time needed to set an option so it would load esp plugins as Masters. I just updated SSEEdit and can no longer load an esp as a Master... and I have completely forgotten where to find the setting that allows it to load esp's as Masters! Computer-wide search for *Edit.ini finds nothing so if I ever had an xEdit.ini or SSEEdit.ini it's gone now Google searches on "xedit allow esp master" turn up lots of hits but none of them mentions how to set xEdit to allow it I found one article with the subject line "How can I set an esp as a Master for another esp in xEdit?" but the answer was to set the Master flag in Wrye Bash Please, can someone please just tell me how I can make xEdit make loaded esp's eligible to add as Masters to other esp's?
spoonsinger Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 You sure you could do that in xEdit? I always used Wyre Bash, ( Right click '"esmify self"), for that sort of thing. Edit Well you can do it in xEdit, (who would of thunk), looks a bit of a faff though. See section 6.6 of following link, https://tes5edit.github.io/docs/6-managing-mod-files.html
Vyxenne Posted April 27, 2019 Author Posted April 27, 2019 Sorry, that's not the answer- I don't want to convert an esp into a Master-flagged file and then add it as a master , I want to add it as an esp Master, which I've been doing for years. I did finally figure it out, and it was a load-order issue. Thanks for the response.
