Hello!

Right now I'm try to make the same mod without Zerbu and I'm working on understanding the DATA files. I also work right now so I don't have really the time to work on it. If someone know how the DATA files work it would be super!

Just came to say that the mod also broke everything related to events for me. Which I find a little weird, since other custom aspirations don't do that and cannot think how could event plannig and aspirations conflict. Hope Alexia can fix it because I like the idea so much!

Hi!

I'm a new modder and I tried to create a mod for "Peculiar Desires" like Human Pet, Owner, Submissive, Dominante,.... It is a test mod honestly its almost just look pretty but doesn't really work without the inconvenient of crashing your game, its just in progress.

Here I only started with Human Pet and Owner were you will need to complete an aspiration to gain your traits 'pet' or 'owner'.

First you have a new Aspiration Category wich is: Peculiar Desires ( the name of the mod)

With this Aspiration Category you will gain a new trait : Peculiar Taste.

You will have two choices : Perfect Pet or Outrageous Owner.

Both are not really developped, I created 2 or 3 steps for each were you will gain the Pet or Owner Traits. Because I didn't have many ideas and to test is long to try and complete them just to see if it works. (if you have ideas let me know in the comments)

With them you will have Flirty and Confidence buffs because you are near or not of your Pet or Owner.

I tried to play with it while having Wicked Whims and Nisak's Perversion and Basemental Drugs on end it seems to work.

 

Honestly I did what I could with Mod Constructor v 4.0 but I really want to maybe pass on Python Script to make it more complet but I can't seem to succeed in doing it, tried but it looks like I'm to stupid to grasp it. And honestly I looked the Maxis CC guide and it didn't really help me like it doesn't say how you can have the Instances ID ( or I didn't find them) or generate them, our how to ... I just can't seem to get it.

 

Known bugs ( looking for help here: ) :

                 -The aspiration doesn't show in the aspiration choices in gameplay, the player have it and you can complete it but after when you want to choose an another aspiration it doen't show in the menu and it looks like you were doing the Animal Lovers Aspiration.

                 -Buffs doesn't seem to have a time limit so Confident and Flirty buffs are on all the time.

                 -Can't organise events, just a blanck window appear. 

What I would like to add but don't have the fucking idea how:

                 -A transform Pet interaction for a Sim with a Owner trait were the Sim would be able to add the Pet trait to his/her compagnon

                 -Interactions for the Pet : walkstyle ( on all fours? maybe ?), drinking from a boal, plead owner to fuck, pleasure owner,...

                 -Add maybe Noir collar when a Sim have the Pet Trait to make it more official...

                 -Incorporate Wicked Whims interaction to add to the fun because honestly wooh-hoo has its limits.

                 -Limit the buffs so that they are not active all the time for the traits.

                 -Put a buff for the Pet were if the Sim doesn't see its Owner in a while the Sim would become sad ( like in the Family Oriented Trait)

 

What I might add but didn't have the energy to:

                  -A Dom and Sub aspiration track with their associated traits.

Hey man Awesome mod, do you think you could add some CNWWPets integration? like can you make it so you can make dogs or cats an Owner and make it so a female sim can ask the dog/cat to have sex with her, like make 2 new traits that functions as a dog/cat version of the owner trait, maybe call it the Pack Alpha for dogs and the Pride King for cats? thanks for reading!

This mod broke my game, it's already removed from "mod" folder, but it wont go away from the game, someone knows what to do ?

Your mode will want a lot of people. And me too !! If possible, can the owner add a system that punishes pets, such as spanking, neglect, or otherwise, to obtain a moodlet, and the add relationship index between the owner and the pet? We are looking forward to your mode being completed!!

Oh my god after 3 hours, i finally discovered that it was this fucking mod. I never thought that it was a could be a cc aspiration causing the social events to dissapear. I literally have played without social events for months because i couldnt figure out what mod was causing it and finally gave up on searching for it. Thank god i decided to look up this thread.

Ikr, i never thought it would be this mod causing the social events to dissapear. Literally couldnt figure out what mod was making them dissapear for months!

I didn't think to test the mod for this, next time if you see something weird in you game come and see if it is a reported bug. I'll try to keep this section updated with what I saw while testing and what the users report.

Ok, the issue I was having was that I could not plan a social event. On the page where you pick the event, all I was getting was a blank white page. I also notices an MCC pop up that said I needed to check my mods. So that is what I did.. removed all mods and added them back in one at a time. Ultimately, it was your mod that was breaking it. With that said, you had a second file so I downloaded it to. added it, then played. still an issue. I removed the original file [Peculiar Desires 1.0.package] leaving your second files [Alexia_PeculiarDesire_0.3.0.package] . The game worked. So somewhere in the 1.0 version something conflicts with some other mod. If you would like, I can further test to see if I can find the other half of the conflict.

Hi!

Honestly don't bother to test the first version of the mod, I made it with Zerbu's Workplace thing and I honestly don't know how it made it and the second version I made it from scratch with python and data files on my own ( I really proud of myself for this one)  so it doesn't really have a link between the two. I left the first version up beacause it has the Outrageous Owner Aspiration that I will maybe do during the winter holidays. But if you encounter other little things that don't work out quite well with the second version it would be really nice to let me know. I forgot to say to delete the last version that can really mess up your game.

Right now I don't have the time to keep my game uptaded so if you encounter new problems with the updates don't hesitate to let me know

I use last vercion of this mod, and it is better now! But I have some problems with aspiration for the Outrageous Owner Aspiration track. 

In my screens Russian language, because I use Sims 4 Package Editor (and can share results, hah), but I have this problem in the English version too.

 

Sorry for the strange text (maybe), English is not my native language. I wait new update or advice to solve the problem. Thank you, sir!

Hi,

The problem is probably because I was a bit laizy and didn't copy the new text in every STBL file in the others languages, so if you took the russian one it might not have the laste texte of the traits. If you want to have them you should look in the english file of the STBL and see wich one you don't have.

After opening my game I don't see why it doesn't work with yours... Normally there is 3 STBL files. And it appear normally in my game I'll update the version that I use right now.

I have the same problem with the Italian version, no text can be seen.
The solution you described, I did not understand what should I do to solve it, what is STBL? Where do I find it in which folder, how to open it?
Sorry if I ask you, but could you do it? ?
